About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

    Heart, best show ever

by lisaann on 7/13/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

I did not expect such a fantastic show. Ann Wilson's voice was dead on, has not changed at all and still very powerful. The band sounded fabuolous, you could actually hear the singing as the instruments werent louder than the singer. Just Phenominal.

    Not enough Heart

by musicman09 on 7/13/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

Being that it was opening night for the fair, I expected a great show. Heart began at 9PM and finished at 10:15 PM after retaking the stage for an encore. The Wilson sisters did a great job, but I felt a bit of a letdown because they played several less popular slow songs in the middle. Heart has plenty of material to cover the short 70 minute concert performance. They also played 2 Led Zeppelin songs and one from the Who. This was my first Heart concert and I was expecting more Heart for the money. I wonder if the O.C. Fair is trying to cut expenses by providing shorter shows?

    Heart

by CrazyLady62 on 7/13/09Pier Six Concert Pavilion - Baltimore

the heart concert was outstanding. For two ladies that have aged, they have aged gracefully. There is no difference in the performance as from 20 years ago. OUTSTANDING...... and great venue to have the privledge to attend this event.

    Heart still beating strong!

by JVD2020 on 7/13/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

Ann Wilson still belts out the lyrics with the power of an opera diva. Sister Nancy Wilson can still cook on acoustic and electric guitar. Excellent supporting players who clearly know the material back them up. A rapid fire show with lots of dynamics - alternating the clean hard rock licks with melodic quiet moments. A great sound mix made all the voices and instruments clear and strong. A fine, tight show that will please any fan.

    Time stood still!!

by SuzieB on 7/13/09Pier Six Concert Pavilion - Baltimore

Heart was absolutely fabulous. Eventhough we had an unusual chilly evening for May, the Wilson sisters were in full voice and guitar playing playing in our outside venue. I hope there will be another albumn (cd) out soon. I had to get a new cd to keep listening to their songs all the time. I bought my first Heart teeshirt and have been wearing it proudly. I have recommended this concert to all of my friends around the country. Thanks so much for coming on tour and coming to Baltimore. Suzie - your thrilled fan!!

Heart like good wine, better with age!

by Teen on 7/13/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

I saw Heart twice in the 80's and they were flawless. I am pleased to say they were fabulous on the opening day of the OC Fair. They crowd was an older crowd and quite noticeable, but there were a lot of young folk there, too. I took my younger sister, my niece and her friend who were all in their early 20's and they really enjoyed it. There was a kid next to me around 18, and he was rocking out big time! Heart is absolutely amazing and played all of the top hits, but also mixed in some other old classic rock from The Who, and my favorite of all time, Led Zeppelin. I don't remember them ever doing that before, so that was a nice surprise! Ann Wilson has a powerful voice, and completely captivated the entire crowd, which was a full house. She showed everyone she can still perform and will not miss a note. Nancy used a variety of guitars and really performed for the crowd. She was flawless! I loved it all! They had some new additions to the band and they were amazing, and added to the greatness of it all. When they opened with Barracuda, it was on! The third song was Straight On, which is my favorite, was hot! The crowd went crazy. Nancy did many short solos to start off songs, which was cool. Ann sang her heart out to Going to California and The Immigration Song by Led Zeppelin. She must like them a lot. They had a death of a mom of someone in the bands group, so they sang a new song "Sand" that was touching to Ann, and she shed a tear. Magic Man was the last song, and it was fascinating! Heart is one of my favorite bands of all time. I love your music, keep playing it!

    Heart at OCFair

by prissilla123 on 7/13/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

I saw Heart at the fair back on '07 and was blown away by how great they STILL were and amazed at Ann Wilson's powerful voice. Saw them again last Friday at the fair and, I don't know how, but they were EVEN BETTER!! There were no limits to Ann's vocals - she hit every high and pushed way beyond for an incredible performance. The sound was great (and loud), the band was tight and Nancy the fabulous performer we've always known. These girls still have it... no... they actually seem RENEWED somehow. Bolder and better than ever! Their covers of The Who's "Reign O'er Me" and Zeppelin's "Going to California" and "Hammer of the Gods" were ROCKIN! I will go back to see these girls at any opportunity!

The sound was great. "Reign on Me" was better than the Who's original. Would have liked to hear "How Can I Refuse".

I haven't seen HEART since the 1980's and let me tell you, they still can rock the house. Ann Wilson's vocals are perfection. They also played a couple of Zepplin & WHO songs, which were also great! I will definetely see them again!

    Great

by DebH on 7/13/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa

I have never seen Heart in concert before and wasn't sure if Ann and Nancy's voice would still be as powerful as they were when they were younger. I was thoroughly satisfied. They were fantastic. I was surprised that they also sang a couple Led Zeplin song - Ann's voice is perfectly suited for this she and sounds quite a bit like Robert Plant. We had a great time.
