About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

the concert was way too short and heart should play heart music i did not pay all that money to listen to a cover band of other groups music with 30 years of hits the wilson sisters should of been able to play heart music and alot longer than 70 minutes i was very disappointed and i thought the show sucked. i will never waste my money on another heart concert!!!

    HEART MET ALL EXPECTATIONS

by daddio on 7/11/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

The Humphrey's concert venue is the perfect setting for a rock show. Heart did not disappoint. In fact, they seemed to be in rare form having seen then twice before over the years. I enjoyed that they played other groups' famous song as an added treat.

    As always!!!! Heart was FANTASTIC!

by gapa on 7/11/09The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

I went to see Heart at Pine Knob last year and they didn't play due to an illness in the band. Well, they sure made up for it a Caesars!!! They let fans come up to the stage and I was standing center stage directly behind the security guard, right at Ann's feet!!! They rocked the house, played all my favorites, and some I had forgotten over the years! Great show!

An Intimate experience with Heart amazing!

by kscollinsx3 on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Humphreys is a close up intimate venue that will leave you feeling like your a friend of the band The one and a half hours non stop music of Heart left us wanting more and we cant wait till they come back. There is no bad seat but I suggest getting an aisle seat whenever possible. Wish I could have taken still pictures but no cameras were allowed!

Ann & Nancy loved Ann & Nancy!!!

by AnnW on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

My friend Nancy (red hair too) and I went to Heart last nite, and I have seen them 3 out of the 4 last years in concert, and this was a great show too! The outdoor venues can be hard acoustically to reign in the magesty that is Ann Wilson's voice, but it reached us in the 16th row just fine!!! Love the Led and Who covers! Only downside is my holdout for Dreamboat Annie which didn't make it this time... Afterwards the Rockola show at the Humphrey's bar was dynamo for dancing and old school music! Nice Night!;))))

Heart 's Still Got it Going On!!!

by ParrotHead on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Overall, this show was great! I thought Ann's vocals were a bit wobbly on the first couple of songs but then it seemed like she kicked into high gear and the rest of the show was awesome. Nancy rocks that guitar like a wild woman. The Zeppelin tracks they played were a nice surprise and a great way to showcase Ann's big voice. The setting of course can't be beat; almost full moon, cool breeze off the bay, bar service....what's not to like? But where was DreamBoat Annie?

Humphrey's Sound System Did Not Do Heart Justice

by Mikaela on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

As a veteran Heart concert goer for over 30 years I can truly say that I am sorry that the sound system did not do the group justice. It was not loud enough for one. The bass was muddled and not the usual foundation for any Heart concert. ( Of course the bass player was not the best of the previous bass player line ups either.) Luckily, the mix got better on the drums towards the end of the set...also a must for a Heart concert....and Ann's voice on the quieter songs was way too trebled out....not the rich mix of mids and treble that we usually hear. BUT>>>Heart, the group, rocked as usual. And once again it shows that women rockers rule!

    Heart was -"Full of It!"

by LuLuK on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Heart never fails to impress! Ann's booming, "spot-on" voice, & Nancy's impeccable guitar playing & unending energy, made the evening magical! No matter that their songs were famous some 30-odd years ago, they could easily stand up to any songs today and sound just as fresh and new.

    Those sisters are still rockin!

by concertgal on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Excellent show -- Ann and Nancy Wilson were full of life and energy, and didn't miss a note! Wow! Wish they had played some more of their top hits, but an amazing experience nonetheless.

    Heart

by Tammyc on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

I thought they were great, I like that they sang alot of the oldies...I also really like her new song too. Ann still has the most powerful voice, amazing. I wish though the next time they come to San Diego they would sing " All I want to do is make love to you". I keep going to their concerts and haven't heard it yet...its my favorite...I know they have so many songs...But would love to hear it...Nancy is amzing how many instruments she plays so well. The really are true rock and roll...

    Wilson Sisters Rock Shelter Island!

by mcgillarch on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Heart was in fine form at Humprey’s last night. This was perhaps the best rock concert I have ever seen – no kidding. The sisters played all of their classics, a few obscurities and one or two new songs from their upcoming album. Ann’s voice is as strong as ever. She still has the best pipes in the business. Nancy is no slouch when it comes to vocals either. She performed a stellar rendition of These Dreams last night. As good as their original material was - the band knocked it out of the park with their cover of Pete Townsend’s Who classic Love, Reign o’er Me. They must have known I was coming, because this is my all time favorite Who song (from Quadrophenia). In addition, Heart covered Going to California and Immigrant Song by the Mighty Zep. This band knows how to take a rock classic and make it their own. Great stuff! By the way, Nancy must be one of the most overlooked guitarists on the planet. She can do remarkable things with an acoustic guitar and traded off between her acoustic Martin (?), Les Paul and Telecaster guitars throughout the evening – favoring the Tele on the electric tunes. To top it all off, she also played a harmonica solo. Ann played acoustic guitar (black with a heart shaped sound hole) and flute on a couple of songs. The rest of the band is killer, too. They have a young, funky, pig-tailed keyboardist (Debbie Shair) who is phenomenal. Of course, to pull off Love, Reign o’er Me she’d have to be.

    Heart still Rocks

by Shred on 7/10/09Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Saw Heart last night at Humphries in MIssion Bay, great show they can still rock with the best of them. Their opening set was strong as was their encore set. Ann Wilson can still bring it with the best of them, her voice is incredible. Nancy Wilson was great with the various guitar openings and also sang surprisingly well. Ann however makes their music unique with her ability to hit those high notes. Humphries is also a great venue to see a show, their isn't a bad seat in the place. Would reccomend anyone to go see Heart even after all these years.

    Turned back 29 years

by Stewbrew on 7/10/09Sandia Casino Amphitheater - Albuquerque

The last time I saw Heart was around 1980 at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City. At the time I was 22 and was thrilled with the show because I was a big fan. This year I was yet again impressed with the band but with a more mature head saw it differently overall. Being a musician at heart (no pun intended) myself I was able to appreciate how well they reproduced their studio music work in a live environment. Kudos to the band for hanging in there all these years. I'm anxious to hear their new work coming up soon. I have a feeling that it will be more like their dog and butterfly, dreamboat Annie and other such tones. It was heart-warming (again, no pun intended) to witness them living and with a strong performance standard. Long live Heart!

was great the sound system was a bit loud so you really couldn't hear ann sing. My daughter liked the key board player she is 2 years old and thought she was great. She is still talking about her.

    Heart never disappoints!

by Lou138 on 7/9/09Sandia Casino Amphitheater - Albuquerque

I enjoyed the concert very much as did my 2 oldest son's that went with me. I feel like Ann and Nancy Wilson never age and always sound great! My favorite of the evening was listening and singing along to the oldies they performed. I never get tired of those songs! I also love the Sandia Amphitheater seating arrangement. I think you get a good view no matter where you sit.

    Heart was good

by Stickman on 7/9/09Sandia Casino Amphitheater - Albuquerque

The "Heart" concert was heard and seen from seats that were too close to the speakers and consequently the guitars drown out the singers in all but a few of the songs. I would recommend that, if you can, choose tickets higher up and only in the center one-third of the venue. The singing that I could hear well was of the caliber expected of "Heart" and it is a shame that the entire concert could not be heard as well.
