Hawksley is beyond talented!
by Emeraldsky on 11/1/15Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Hawksley never fails to entertain. I was surprised at the low turn out. I hate the venue of the Commodore for him. The sound is just not that great. I'm thinking that is why not so many showed up. This is the second time I've seen him there. The first was when he was with the Mounties and the sound was so deplorable I actually walked out, which killed me as HW is my favourite entertainer of all time. Even though I was not a fan of the venue I'm still a hard core fan of HW and would recommend everyone go see him!
Hawksley Workman is brilliant

Hawksley and his band took the audience on quite a journey....fantastic control of mood, dynamics, and power. Stage presence and musicianship are first class. The music really comes to life - in fact, many of the songs come across far better in a live setting than in the original studio recordings. The sound in the Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary was nothing short of amazing.

I have listened to his cds exclusively for weeks now! Super show, super venue! A true showman..I laughed, I cried! 'Ice Age' was my fav song but his banter is the best part of the show.
