Hassan was funny, no doubt. But I am used to video setups so you can actually see the comic on stage from my seat 40 rows back. I've also seen his specials and was expecting a more involved show with his typical style of making claims and backing them up with media of some sort. One thing to note that I wasn't considering. Lots of his attendee's did not wear deodorant. I was horribly uncomfortable throughout the entire show trying not to breathe in. That part really sucked. Ticketmaster also did a poor job communicating that they would be taking Phones AND Smartwatches. I read back through the emails and they were super clear about bags, I already knew about the phones, but the smart watch was a new one. I found that they DID mention them, in a wall of small grey text in one of the emails. I wouldn't have brought it if they were more clear. I ended up dropping it while taking it off, something I never usually do over a hard floor, and ended up cracking the edge of the screen. I was and still am pissed about this. He wasn't any better to me live than he was in his specials. The downsides of attending a live show were just not worth it for me.
The show was great Hasan was hilarious and Paul Elia was great as well. When he comes back to Detroit I will be seeing him again!
An excellent show. Time passed so quickly that I wished show would have continued. Very good execution. Loved it.
Hasan’s shows never disappoint but it’s even more electric watching it at the Fox Theater. 10/10!
The show was great and he was really funny. Always amazed by how smart and witty he is. My 2nd time seeing him perform live. The one big thing is the electronics policy and having to lock them in a pouch and not having access to them. I was on edge the entire show worried about my kids at home. It’s 2023, we are connected via technology and my kids have phones for safety reasons. Going on radio silence for 3+ hours is unfortunately, a deal breaker going forward.
Love loveeeeddd the show. It was hilarious, and person, but also gave me the political commentary, and conscious thought I needed
Hasan Minhaj and the openers were extremely hilarious. I throughly enjoying myself and hope to see Hasan again in the future.
SO good to just laugh without deep angst involved. Laughed at myself with each well timed jab. Hasan delivered a wonderful show - even in the working stages and with a medical time-out!
Hasan has always been one of my favorites on TV and he delivered beautifully live on stage. His crowd work was great and his ability to weave in and out of topics is amazing. Highly recommend.
Hasan is so smart and his comedy is relatable and observant without being crude of super controversial. I would consider myself a liberal, who now lives in a 50/50 environment and he walked that line very well. Still able to be funny and relevant, but not crossing the line so much that the conservatives who made their way to the show would be offended. There was a medical emergency and he had to stop the show for about 15 minutes while it was handled. He was very gracious in asking whether we walked him to continue, not an easy feat, and finished up the last 15 or so of his show. So happy he made his way to Paso and not just to the "big"cities where he likely would have a much greater following.
Hilarious, thoughtful, smart, laughed till it hurt
I had the most fabulous experience ever. Hasan was super funny. Thank you so much for the many laughs; I literally have a friend crush on him. XOXO
I went to see Hasan Minhaj’s new special “off with his head”, however once the show began Minhaj asked to just do a casual set instead. I won’t say I wasn’t disappointed, because I think the quality of the show would have been better if he had done so. The opening act additionally was just okay, not a standout like what I would expect from minhaj’s choice. Overall the show was still very funny, just a little bit short and lacking.
Started late The opening comedian was not very good Main act was also not that funny and very short. Not worth the money.
Had a blast! Laughed the entire show. Hasan is personable to interactive with audience. No regrets here !
My wife and I went to see Hasan Minaj for a date and we had a great time. He is a great story teller and funny with a self deprecating sense of humor. I would highly recommend seeing his act.
Don't pay more than $30 bucks . Or buy drinks for your funniest friend for better laughs.
His opener seemed a little nervous but pulled through. On the other hand Hasan seemed a little vulnerable, but confident which was nice to see. I'm glad he addressed his controversies. Seating was meh, drinks were ok but the show was worth it
Hasan was amazing. Topical and super funny. Hope to see him again sometime.
