So proud of Hasan and his accomplishments! Being a Sacremento native I had to come support our Davis hero even with the world as it is. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the whole show and loved the cell phone locks! Really makes you live in the moment and listen even more to his cry-laughing as well as heart felt moments. Even his opener Sammy was killin us before Hasan took the spotlight. Looking forward to future shows and specials with this guy and can’t wait to come back to this beautiful theater again.

  • Top Notch Intellectual Comedy

Hasan's performance was amazing, best comedy show I've seen. The opener was also solid. We'll be recommending the Netflix show to everyone when it drops at the end of the year. You have to lock your phones in special bags, which was a little haphazard on the way out. Otherwise, security is great and had a good system down. Show started late because of how long it took to get everyone through, but we anticipated that.

  • Hilarious

Hasan was super funny. I love his style of stand-up routine mixed with a one man show and how he can go from laugh out loud funny to super serious in literally a second. The guy that opened for him was hysterical as well.

  • sweetness and humor- the best combo

I love Hasan Minhaj but even better is that my whole family loves him. Took our twins to this show who are 16 and had the best family night out in a very long time!

  • As entertaining as you expect

by Jenny on 1/17/22SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Beautiful experience with outrageous high energy with quick pivots to silence. More of a one man show with an arc rather than a typical stand up show. My only complaint was there were a few times he said “i haven’t said this before” however he has discussed on previous interviews. Overall I had a blast ❤️

  • Good Performance Bad Venue

by Itzmee on 1/17/22SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - SacramentoRating: 2 out of 5

We got to the show and I already knew it was no phones and they were going to put them in locked pouches. No problem there. We got inside and wanted to get drinks and snacks from concessions. Nobody told us prior to the show that there was no food or drinks allowed inside. I personally like to have a drink while watching a comedy show and wish they had posted something prior to the event. The location itself is also very old and dated looking, the seats were uncomfortable and the audio was loud and sounded horrible. They changed mic’s but it was still pretty bad. The worst part was when it was time to leave they hustled everybody through the fire exit and out the back door and didn’t give access to the bathrooms inside. There are no public bathrooms anywhere near the theater so we had to beg a restaurant host to let my wife in to use their bathroom. Nothing against Hasan Minhaj, he’s funny and talented. I will be avoiding this theater until I know they’ve addressed the issues listed above.

Hasan knows how to weave in personal stories and major political news with witty humor and moments of seriousness that wake you up to reality. He’s a standout among comedians. Highly recommended.

  • AMAZING SHOW

    by A. P. on 12/20/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Honestly, I miss Hasan on Patriot Act. However this event was definitely a great treat! I LOVED how we took us behind the scenes of his experiences doing his show and other things we would never know about! I LOVE that he ties everything together so artfully with his career, family, personal experiences all while making us crack up!

Entertaining, funny and fitting his older standup specials. Took forever to get into the venue

If you like his comedy, you will love this show! He keeps it real and give us many laughs. The venue kept it safe during the pandemic - it was a fun night!

  • Walked in an observer, walked out a fan

If you're expecting the Hasan Minhaj you watch on The Patriot Act, you'll be disappointed. But, if you're looking for a comic to connect with your life and experiences then you're going to have a great time! I was never his biggest fan, but after this show I've become a believer. Minhaj connects his life experiences as a millennial and first-generation Asian in America really well to his audiences. A lot of what he talked about felt like he was talking about my life. I'll definitely see him again next time he's in the Bay Area.

  • masonic couldn't get us in on time

by audience member on 11/30/21The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 2 out of 5

arrived before 9pm line was hella long; arrived at 9:30pm line was still hella long, and finally didn't get into my seat till after 10:30pm. Hasan was already joking, I was sitting in a tight spot area. They locked our phones up, and was a bit annoyed since it felt like there was a lot of the show missing from coming in and seeing the comedian already joking. No one apologized for the lateness even though arrived before the show was to start, but the line was moving way too slow. Don't ever do a late show, or go to a show that requires your phone to be locked up. Best experience was John Olivier that none of this happened.

  • Long wait but great set :)

    by J on 11/29/21The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Once the sets started rolling, it was a really good show! Hasan has such a skill with story telling and switching from funny jokes to more sincere vulnerable moments. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was due to the fact my show started at 930 but we weren’t let into the venue until 10 and the show didnt start until past 1030.

  • Excellent show! ... When it finally started

by Mandy on 11/29/21The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Our tickets said 9:30pm. No information about when doors opened. I received an email with a link to purchase parking, which led me to an "error" page. I looked around on Google Maps and saw parking garages. Cool. We arrive an hour early, unsure of where exactly we'll park and how long the Covid procedures will take. All that went fairly smoothly. And then we stood there and stood there and stood there in an entry that became increasingly crowded, hot, and stuffy... Finally the show started an hour and a half late. Good thing Hasan Minhaj is hilarious because he was definitely worth it but yowza that was a rough start to the night.

  • Great Show, Terrible Event

    by K. B. on 11/28/21Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

This was one of the worst-run events I've ever been to. Opening door time was 9pm, show was supposed to start at 9:30pm. The line wrapped around the block and snaked back over the overpass. Due to vaccine checking, phone case securing, and poor timing with the show before us running long, we didn't get into the theater and event started until close to 11pm. Such a shame, because Hasan Minhaj himself and his warm up act were AMAZING - but the poor event staff were not prepared and we were extremely disappointed at how it was executed.

  • 10/10 for Hasan, 0/10 for ticketmaster

The show was amazing but why do I need to pay an arm and a leg in fees to ticketmaster...

  • Funny and smart

I loved this show! Hasan is funny and smart. It was interesting from beginning to end and I can’t wait to see his show Patriot Act on Netflix. Only negative, it started about an hour late and since they lock up your phones in pouches (which normally I wouldn’t mind) it made the hour delay even more aggravating.
