I can’t say enough about how magical this experience was! The orchestra sounded amazing. It was such a fun experience to watch Sorcerer’s Stone and listen to the soundtrack come to life in front of your eyes.
I absolutely love that you combined my two favorite things into one fantastic show. Movie and live orchestra music. What an absolute treat!! Please do this many times over with as many great movies with wonderful musical scores possible. Jurassic Park comes to mind. Lord of the rings. Etc.
We loved the fun atmosphere throughout and the orchestra and film but the civic Center was so cold we had to leave early.
Harry Potter with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra wasn't exactly what we expected as the promo said "scenes from the movie displayed while the TSO plays the music from the movie". Rather, the entire movie was shown with dialog and subtitles while the TSO played the entire score. They did a fantastic job. The only drawback might have been we were so focused on the screen you didn't actually watch the orchestra very often. The promo said "first in a series"so hopefully they do the other movies too!
Attending Harry Potter Live in Concert was an enchanting experience. Watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone while the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra performed the score live was nothing short of magical. The orchestra's exceptional rendition added depth and emotion to the film, immersing the audience in the wizarding world like never before. It was a truly remarkable evening that brought the magic of Harry Potter to life in a whole new way, and the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra deserves applause for their outstanding performance.
The music was excellent, when you could hear it over the cheering and booing of the mega fans of Harry Potter. Constant interruptions throughout the film from the crowd would literally drown out the music. It was reminiscent of a British pantomime. You had better be going to watch the movie more than listen to the music if you attend this concert.
Amazing experience would 10/10 recommend!! Can’t wait for the next one.
This was my first time ever seeing an orchestra play and it was AMAZING! They did a great job with the movie in the background. I enjoyed it so much and would recommend to anyone
The series «Live in Concert» is a great concept. It highlights the importance of the movie's soundtrack to the overall experience. It was a great show. Can't wait for the next one.
The orchestra was fantastic and having the live music added a whole other dimension of excitement to the movie experience. HURRAY for the NACO!!!!
The orchestra is amazing. Can’t tell it is a live performance.
Going into this, we had no idea what a Harry Potter concert was going to be like, but I’m so glad we spent the money on tickets! The atmosphere was electric, the symphony played beautifully and watching the movie this way was something I definitely recommend everyone try at some point if they can!
My wife and I really enjoyed the the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Harry Potter and the Socerer’s Stone. The music of John Williams while watching the actual film was Spectacular!!! It was a great experience and wonderful for families!! !!
I really enjoyed this show but I think that showing the whole movie detracted from how well the symphony played the soundtrack. I would have better enjoyed clips of the movie in the background as the score was played without dialogue.
I loved the Greensboro symphony with this film. They are very talented and in union! It was a fantastic performance and recommended. The food was amazing as well. The chefs and wait staff us feel welcome and of course made sure we were well fed. (Would kinda like to see the symphony in HP attire. I believe that would be awesome!)
I thought the experience was absolutely wonderful. Center was clean amd easy to get to and parking was easy and close. Show was phenominal and the orchestra was really good. If i had to make one complaint it would be that i got a butterbeer with rum and it could have used less ginger ale and more of the butterbeer syrup. Tasted good but it was basically rum with gingle ale.
My daughter and I both love the Harry Potter movies. I really like movies like Harry Potter and Star Wars that use Orchestra music. I purchased the tickets as an end of school reward for my daughter, hoping that she would love the orchestra as much as I do. After the show she asked if they did this to the rest of the Harry Potter movies, if we could go. I, of course, told her absolutely. The only thing that could have been a little better is the concession choices. Maybe some chips or a better variety of candy bars.
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone with The Greensboro Symphony was amazing! The orchestra playing live added so much depth to a move I have seen numerous times. This was a great experience!
A marvelous show! The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra was an absolute joy to hear!
