A intriguing story told through a great performance by Billy Crudup

Billy Crudup is spectacular in this one man show. The space is a small intimate theater and it’s a unique pleasure to be so close to such amazing acting.

I can not say enough good things about this production. We'd never seen anything like the transformations Billy Crudup makes before your eyes. The story and writing were amazing. The Minetta Lane is nice and intimate. Only caveat about seating: try to sit close, but at least 3 rows from the stage. The first two rows are a bit below the stage. But no matter what, go to this show.

This show was well-written, well-executed. I loved every minute of it, and recommend that you see it too!

I felt honored and blessed to witness Billy's amazing performance. His portrayal of such an array of characters -- male and female...plus himself as a child -- was a feat in and of itself. I was not distracted or disenchanted for one minute of the 90 minutes he was on stage. And...I can see why he was drawn to do this play...as the writing -- including stunning plot twists and lots of humor -- was magnificent. A spectacular event...an astounding performance!

I have seen David Cale's work at nightclubs around town, so I was intrigued by the idea of a play. I didn't know much about the play before I attended, so I don't want to say too much here because I think it's better to have the story unfold while sitting in the theater. The performance is an intense look at a character or, a set of characters, actually. And Billy Crudup is able to move seamlessly between these characters during the course of the evening. For me, it was about inventing and reinventing oneself. That central idea has stayed with me in the days after the performance. (And that's what good theater is all about, eh?)

This show is a must see! Billy as Harry has you in the palm of his hand the entire show. You never look away. The show is a drama, a comedy, all in one. Fantastic acting by Billy Crudup in this one man show. He never stops talking! AMAZING!

This is why you find the time and adjust your busy schedule for a few hours. fully entertained with a great performance by a talented actor. I loved the crazy story of the scam, laughed, smiled and just had fun. The stage, backdrop and lighting only added to the experience. So well done and enjoyed. Mr. Crudup as he goes from Harry, to Dad/Mom, etc. effortlessly for 1 1/2 + hours, in awe and a pleasure Saw the show at the Vineyard and pleased it reopened. Just had to take friends to the Minetta the other night GO!!!

A one man show that flies by thanks to the disturbingly fascinating writing, and Crudup's amazing talent of embodying numerous characters. Brilliant, sad, disturbing, a must-see.

I loved this play! Billy Crudup's exceptional acting abilities shine in this one man show. His accents and ability to transform himself into the many characters ( male and female) had me wondering " how does he do that?" Interesting and entertaining! had me believing he is indeed not just one but many (male and female)

Billy Crudup moved seamlessly from character to character. Each was clearly defined both physically and vocally. The play was funny and touching, very entertaining. I'm so glad this was revived as i missed it at the Vineyard.

Harry Clarke - What a completely enjoyable production! Billy Crudup embodies a dozen-plus characters, shifting from one to another in a blink of an eye. The entire theatre gave him a standing ovation. The play was beautifully written, and while a little weak at the end, it's deeply entertaining and definitely worth seeing.

There is nothing like seeing an outstanding performance in an intimate space. With not a bad seat in the house, it was thrilling to watch Billy Crudup in this play. The writing was great- with laughs provided periodically at just the right times. Billy Crudup seamlessly transitions from character to character while captivating the audience in every moment. I absolutely loved this play.
