I almost don't want to say how much I love this annual event, because tickets will get harder to come by - but I can't help it. The true glory of the human voice in harmony, how much better can it get?
The Mid-Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes at the Birchmere is a wonderful event. .. I've been going for several years now, and this was one of the strongest fields of competitors I've seen. Great venue, great food, great music .. . who could ask for anything more?
We've been attending the Harmony Sweepstakes off and on for 10 years and this was one of the strongest fields. There were 3 groups that all were close enough to win the event. I'm sure that the winners, Da Capo, will make strong showing for the Mid-Atlantic region at the nationals.
Another great competition at the Harmony Sweepstakes! We picked the winners as soon as they opened their mouths. Da Capo, you are amazing! But the placement of other groups was a mystery. Guess the judges heard something different than we did. Great job, Loose Interpretations! Food was great as always, Birchmere! Loved the West Side 5 sets. Such vocal flexibility! Totally impressed with the alto and soprano solos!
