My family had a great time, especially my nine year old. I have never seen her laugh so much. Very entertaining! We are definitely going to go again.
My children and I went to the basketball game in Augusta, poorly run, the event staff was not very professional, a few staff was observed very unable to handle the work load, and the they became very flustered with the amount of fans. The only one concession stand is absolutely ridiculous, no need of that, you stand in line and miss half the game while trying to get food, there should be two or more concessions and the staff need to relax and not be so snappy while interacting with fans, they should be treating everyone with the same respect and you can see the difference among ages.
I have attended the Harlem Globetrotters in the past a few times and enjoyed it more than this time. It was difficult to understand the host and the music was very loud. The usual tricks were good and the players very talented. Could have left out the record screeching! My son enjoyed it so that was worth it to see the smile on his face!
Fun, funny, entertaining & friendly amazing players! Only 1 male helper was rose & ugly to us! I wish I had good name! He was sitting by the players! He was mean!
This was the fourth time I have seen the Globetrotters over the past few years and they continue to add new routines and maintain some of their older routines. They are always upgrading their entire show and seem to keep adding more audience participation. The skills of the entire team are amazing and always entertaining. My only disappointment was that Sweet Georgia Brown is no longer used as the background music during their famous warm up.
Kids seemed to really enjoy it. Not for sober adults unless you are really into fancy/goofy ball handling.
My grandkids had a blast! They laughed a lot. They especially loved getting autographs from the players afterwards. That part needs to be a little more organized.
Awesome fun filled family fun with great entertainment
My wife and I enjoyed the show. My main complaints are: $15 a car for parking, with no alternative. Also the audio in the HEB made it hard to understand the players that were miced up.
I myself did not enjoy the show but my grand babies did and that was why I was there for them
The ball skills and showmanship was great. The sound system was terrible. Had no idea what they were saying most of the time. Don’t know whether it was their equipment or the HEB Center’s.
I was in the 6th grade in 1972 when I saw the Globe Trotters for the first time. I'll never forget that experience. When I heard they were coming to Houston, I had to get tickets for my granddaughters! Both are future basketball athletes and I knew they would just love the show and they did!! Wonderful experience. Fun tricks and jokes. It was just as entertaining now as it was then. Timeless. I hope these are memories they will cherish as well.
Getting into the event was awful. There was no traffic control at all. There was another event going on at NRG Stadium, and this was not accounted for. Once the event started, it was very hard to hear. You could not hear the Emcee holding his microphone. A few of the players had mics, and it was very hard to hear what they were saying. Globetrotters tried to make event fun but not being able to hear was a shame
I saw them back in the 90s and it was all trick shots and ball Handling tricks. The gags felt very organic. Now it seems to be nothing more than a dunk contest and the gags felt forced and the timing just wasn't there.
I took my 5 y/o grandson to see this show. I rate it mediocre as compared to the shows, I seen on TV and arenas as a kid.
The basketball was great and the players' warmth when creating the audience after the show was wonderful. However, the venue did not support enjoying the performance. On reaching our seats we found a large puddle and very wet concrete steps next to our seats which were difficult to navigate and slippery. There was no indication that anyone from the venue was aware of this or tried too mitigate the issue. Perhaps more disturbing that we could hear little or nothing that went on, on the court. Our seats were at the "end"of the court it seemed that the speakers were all set up at the edges of the court, facing the court. Many of the players were "miked"for the performance, but we could hear little or none of the dialog.
They are so talented and fun to watch but very difficult to hear what they were saying
We took our grandkids to this event. As grandparents we were disappointed. The venue appeared rundown, the sound system was terrible. We couldn’t understand anything the emcee was saying. As far as the performance, this is definitely not the Harlem Globetrotters of the past. All the players seemed bored or tired. There were no real tricks. The players ran through their routine with not a lot of energy. The grandkids liked the mascots more than anything.
I'm 73 and saw the Globetrotters when I was a child. Meadowlark Lemon was my hero !!! I was hooked. Now I take my grandson each year when they come to town. At 8 years old and playing basketball with the local Y program, he loves the game !!! This was our 3rd year for us to have a grandmother - grandson date. I booked a Magic Pass this year for him to have personal interaction. Money well spent !!! All the members of the Globetrotter's show were wonderful with these kids. The players for both teams are amazing athletes and dazzled the audience with spectacular shots , but added crazy antics to bring laughter to all the audience !!! Thank you Globetrotters for keeping life real and fun. See you next year !!!
We were expecting a more thrilling show. NBA basketball games have more action in between periods than this whole show. Glad we took our son to see it but was mutual with our whole party would not spend the money to see again.
