“If Steven Wright, Mos Def and Dave Chappelle had a baby, that would be disgusting, but it would sound like Hannibal Buress. The funniest young comic I’ve seen in years.” – Chris Rock
Chicago-bred New York-based stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress established himself as a master of “comedic jokes related to personal stories, current events, the streets, and even food” (yes, someone actually wrote and published that line) in ANIMAL FURNACE, his COMEDY CENTRAL original one-hour stand-up special that premiered May 20.
Hannibal Buress has appeared on LETTERMAN, FALLON, KIMMEL, FERGUSON, CONAN and numerous other late night TV shows. He has also made prime time appearances on LOUIE and 30 ROCK, and is the co-host of the Adult Swim series THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW.
Buress has previously worked on the writing staffs of 30 ROCK and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, and released his debut album, MY NAME IS HANNIBAL, in 2010 on Stand Up! Records.

I had to leave because of how long it took to get started. The vibe inside was weird too.
The seating was jacked as usual, row K that I purchased was completely not there so we had to sit in the corner . . .
Hannibal was hilarious. My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard. It was frigid in Cone Denim and being wet from the monsoon didn't help, but it was worth it.
Laughed a ton and would absolutely see him again. Bijou is a great venue
Hannibal Tony Trim and Meechie were excellent i recommend everyone go see this run
Hannibal was as hilarious as ever. Our seats in Row C were awesome but we had some dude with a camera directly in front of us and that was irritating. There was also a lady who kept screaming, but Hannibal shut her down in a very Hannibal way. Opener was good, Tony Trimm did his thing and did it well. Great show.
Hannibal Buress is a top-tier comedian who embraces himself, his status, and his faults and it shows in his seemingly effortless brand of top quality comedy. I'm also a huge fan of anyone who's not above going to mid-level or even lower tier venues for a quick stop. Thanks for the laughs in Chattanooga, TN! His DJ, Tony Trimm, was fantastic and a great partner to his set, as well.
The show was great. All of the acts were great. It was a fun event that I am glad I got to experience.
I did not stop laughing during Hannibal's set, it was great! His DJ was great and had awesome content. Great show!
This was my first time seeing Hannibal Buress and it def won’t be the last! Saenger theater is beautiful and I loved the eclectic crowd! Hannibal was real and enduring! I loved the show!
Hilarious, we loved the show, great performer, beautiful venue. Enjoyed every moment!
Creative comedy set without the commercial pitfalls. Quintessential standup routine. Highly recommend.
XYZ! No! I will not zip my fly up!!! Hannibal was great. Pace and material was fresh.
Great show and Dj set by Tony! I love Hannibal’s pod cast and his act was Hilarious! Definitely worth seeing him live. Dude is very funny
Buress (with one "r") was funny but language a bit raw for my age group.
This was the second time I’ve seen him live in San Diego and he has been amazing both times. He had me almost crying multiple times per show. 10/10 would see again.
The alcohol line took an hour to get a drink, need some more bartenders or faster service. The screen wouldn’t even start for the show. If you are charging people money you need to have your stuff prepared, maybe do a test on the system beforehand. Hannibal was awesome and very funny, will go see him again. Just not at Spreckels.
Handling an unexpected situation is what separates the best from the worst and Hannibal definitely handled the giant screen not working to the best of his abilities and he made it work as if it was part of the act. I minus a point from the venue since that wasn't Hannibal's fault. I've only watched Hannibal's set from Netflix and in person it was definitely worth it. Would totally go again if he comes back to San Diego.
Love Hannibal Buress and he was the highlight of last year's comedy shows when I went to see Chris Rock at the Paramount and he opened for him, and a few days later we saw him open for Dave Chappelle at the Punchline. He's a smart dude with some really funny, abstract ways of thinking about everyday stuff.
