by jdownsy on 12/6/10Berklee Performance Center - BostonI had a great time at this show, the band sounded very much like I had hoped , particualy the reproduction of the very distinctive Jimmy Page's guitar solos. The vocals were actually really good as well, the singer was able to hit pretty much every note that I'm sure Robert Plant hasn't been able to for a couple of decades now. I would say though, that as good as the vocalist sounded, he was a little too over the top in his interpretation of Robert Plant's stage presence. It came off as very effeminant and was a little hard to watch at times, so I'd try to focus on the other members of the band when he was a little too "in the zone" The drummer was quite good and did a great job particulary with "Moby Dick". The bassist, like John Paul Jones also played keyboards and the only thing bad I could say about him was, "what was up with the Opera Man wig?" Unfortunately for me (and the band), the weakest part of the experience was the crowd. A lot of older people that were content to sit in their seats with there hands folded on their lap like they were at the Holiday Pops. Thier were a few people who were looking forward to it like me and actually cheered and whistled, but it was weird to hear what I would describe as mediocer reaction to some really great music. I would definitley like to see this band play again, but hopefully in a venue where the crowd realized that they were there to see a rock show.
