For nearly a decade, HAMILTON at New York’s Richard Rodgers Theatre, with its innovative mix of history and hip-hop, has remained “The Room Where It Happens” on Broadway. The groundbreaking Lin-Manuel Miranda production, based on Ron Chernow’s 2004 biography of founding father Alexander Hamilton, has gripped theatergoers since its 2015 debut. Immediately hailed as another milestone achievement by Miranda, who previously won a Tony Award and a Grammy for his first musical, In The Heights, HAMILTON became the most-nominated production in Tony Awards’ history and won 11 of its 16 contests, the second-largest haul in the ceremony's history. Among many other accolades, the musical earned a Pulitzer Prize in Drama, two Emmys for the stage film released on Disney+ in 2020, and a Grammy for the 2015 original Broadway cast recording, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and became the first Broadway cast album to reach Diamond certification by the RIAA in 2023. While it certainly made Lin-Manuel Miranda as much of a household name as the man behind his titular role, HAMILTON also launched the careers of his castmates, including Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr, Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler, Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson and Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

The Richard Rodgers Theatre is located on 226 W. 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue. There is no designated on-site parking. However, there are numerous parking options in the Broadway Theater District. Here's a link to a Google map display of the various options in the Times Square area.
Taxis can stop outside the theatre for drop off and pick up.
The Richard Rodgers Theatre is close to the Times Square - 42nd Street subway stop. You can take the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, W and S lines to reach the stop.

HAMILTON is performed at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on 226 West 46th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue in New York City. Individual and group tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster, as well as the Ham4Ham ticket lottery app.

The recommended age for children to see HAMILTON is 10 and up, though the Richard Rodgers Theatre welcomes patrons ages five and up. Infants will not be permitted. All patrons — regardless of age — must have a ticket.

After finding out there was a problem with the tickets we purchased, I thought we’d have to go look again. However Ticketmaster found us even better seats in row B! Great show, great music, great time!!!

Show was entertaining and informative. Was told to listen to the soundtrack before seeing it but I did not do that as I wanted to experience it firsthand. It lived up to the raves I heard from friends who have previously seen it. A truly memorable experience. Now I need to get the soundtrack.
What can i say about Hamilton that hasn't already been said? The show was phenomenal! My son has been wanting to go to the show for years now. But the price has been a little out of reach for me. This year I decided to give him an early Christmas gift and bring him to the show. We went to the matinee on Wednesday and it did not disappoint, it lived up to the hype! At least for a day I was Best Mom Ever!
This was my first Broadway show. It was amazing!!! I don’t think any other show could measure up. The music and actors were top notch.

I wanted to see Hamilton so I could learn what all “the fuss” was about! WELL- it did not disappoint. It was FANTASTIC!!! Our seats were perfect as well!! The cast, story, music, set, costumes — everything was perfect. I must go see it again.......

But I cried twice during one of the most magical 2.5 hours of my life. Seriously, among the best plays I’ve seen - funny, poignant, wonderful music, and a history lesson all wrapped up together. Can’t wait to see it again!
I'm not a Broadway person and was blown away by Hamilton! It's a must see!
This was our second time seeing Hamilton and it was better because we saw things that we didn't the first time. Also, we sat in the first row of the back mezzanine and we were able to see the whole stage better than when we sat on the side orchestra.
I made a trip to NYC recently just to see a few shows. Top of my list was Hamilton and it did not disappoint. What an experience!!

I had heard nothing but wonderful things about this show.... and wow!! It exceeded even that. The sound was crisp and every seat in the house was a good one. The music, the choreography, everything... was out of this world!! Thank you!
Wonderful, enthusiastic performance by the theater actors. Lived up to the hype which can be hard to do. Great acoustics for my hard of hearing husband. Grandkids were thrilled and the ushers reminded them to take seat boosters. After a year of waiting it was well worth it!
