Fun show, wonderful talent
by Me on 5/11/24Fox Performing Arts Center - RiversideWe enjoyed the show but doubt we will ever go to a Live Nation event again. The show was advertised to start at 7pm and it began at 8:25pm, plus it had a 35 minute intermission. Staff told us 7pm was the time the doors open, but that is not what our tickets said or the massive ads or the website! No water was available without purchase, no drinking fountain! A huge issue with parking my mobility scooter, and about 5 different opinions by staff. I commend the production, which was filled with talented performers. The venue was historical and quite interesting. The staff working the doors, the concessions and the ushers were not the best for such a wonderful show. It seemed more like they usually work at a sporting event as opposed to a Broadway show. They did not seem very professional. It was very disappointing for the show to begin nearly 1.5 hours late. Because of poor communication with the start time, many patrons were disappointed and made a lot of comments while waiting in line. This got me a bit nervous that a fight could break out, but the crowd was well behaved, just understandably frustrated.
