A Memorable Musical
by Carmine on 11/5/25Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5Oh, where to start. I loved Hadestown, absolutely loved it. I experienced a wonderful surprise tonight at the Pantages theater. This musical was perfect: the performers with their singing and acting, the musicians in the band, who were on stage during the entire musical, the music they played, and the costumes and set. As Eurydice, Megan Colton’s voice and acting even had me falling in love with her. Nickolaus Colon was Hades himself. What a presence he makes: tall and handsome, with a deep resonating voice that shakes Hades itself. And I got to meet Namisa Bizana, who played Persephone, during the intermission. She complimented me for looking so dapper. I told her she was beautiful. She then asked me to take a quick selfie with her. I told her I did not take good selfies, as the picture of us together shows, but I managed to take one before the people recognized her and she had to run off. She is electrifyingly friendly and charming. Then there were the three muses. Two of them flirted with me during the entire first act, as I was directly in front of them and just feet away. The more I blushed and smiled the more they did it. They made my night, I must say. This musical embodies many themes: those of finding love, rekindling lost love, hope of surviving hardships and the elements of our reality, the joy of spring and sunshine, the appreciation of life, and mercy. Together they make this musical emotionally overwhelming. I felt closer to life and people during this musical than I have in a long time. Yes, this musical stirred in me emotions, thoughts, and things I am grateful for. What I felt and experienced during the performance were special to me, and I hope to remember them forever.
