About

Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Guns N' Roses are one of the best-selling rock acts in history. Apart from more than 100 million records sold worldwide (including their 18-times platinum debut Appetite for Destruction), the group is also a formidable live act, regularly selling out stadiums and headlining major festivals. They performed for the first time as Guns N' Roses in June 1985 at the Troubadour in Hollywood, Calif. and have hardly left the road since, though the band has undergone various lineup changes. The 2016-2019 Not In This Lifetime… Tour — which featured classic lineup members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan performing together for the first time since 1993 — is one of the highest-grossing runs in history. To date, Guns N’ Roses have grossed $774.1 million and sold 9.6 million tickets over 453 shows.

    Axl is the Man!!

by Anonymous on 6/6/10Continental Airlines Arena - East Rutherford

Guns N' Roses with Skid Row and Poppa Roach at the Arena at the Meadowlands was amazing. Sebastian Bach opened with Skid Row and was incredible. Then Poppa Roach took stage and ignited the younger crowd but Axl brought the house down and at the end did a couple with Bach.

The show at Copps Colliseum in Canada was by far the best concert i've ever seen, Axl never stopped rockin and neither did the crowd. Well worth the wait and if they come to Michigan i'll be there!!

This was simply an amazing concert. The band Axl has assembled is nothing short of spectacular, and played to perfection - both new and old songs. Sad to say, but the new band members can/ahve easily musically replaced the original members Slash, Duff, Matt/Steven. Axl's voice was in top form throughout the 2.5 hours they played. Can't wait for them to come to the US.

We waited 2 hours for Guns N Roses

by Michiganders on 2/1/10Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The show was pretty much what we expected. However, what truly took the excitement out of the concert was the 2 hour delay between the opening act and the main event. Once the opening acts were done, we waited close to 2 hours for Guns N Roses to take the stage. That is by far the longest I've ever waited for the main act. It took the crowd out of the concert as people were clearly tired and some left way early because of the delay. The crowd began to boo three times with displeasure. In addition, because the concert was done at 2 a.m. instead of midnight as we expected, the trains stopped running and the underground walkways were closed. This forced thousands of people outside into the frigid weather. I beleive it was 5 degrees F.

    Way too much chinese democracy

by Reidcampbell on 1/31/10Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Late start, too much democracy but the classics sounded amazing.

    Axl hasn't lost it!

by Gooze on 1/31/10Air Canada Centre - Toronto

A lot of people are giving Axl grief for calling his new band Guns N' Roses. After this concert, it's pretty clear that Axl IS GN'R. Sure, it would be great to see the original line-up, but there is no GN'R without Axl. He is at least 60% of what GN'R always has been. For everyone reading negative reviews, you need to know that this concert was amazing. The new songs sound great live - better than they sound on the studio album. The old songs are as blistering as they have ever been. Thanks Axl!

    GnR....almost worth the wait

by tiredgirlz on 1/29/10Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The show last night in Toronto was pretty good, although they started ridiculously late and didn't play as many of their big hits as I would have liked. They tended to focus more on the "Chinese Democracy" CD (not surprising, but still disappointing), which has decent songs, but doesn't have the crowd rousing abilities of the old GnR songs. They played for 2.5 hours, and they actually sounded pretty good. Overall I would say that it was good, but not the best that I have ever seen them.

    Axl does it again!

Loved the GNR show in Toronto! Axl always brings it and he kept it going for two and a half hours!

Too long of waiting in the middle of the show. After more than an hour of waiting for the band to come back to the stage - my partner and I had left. So we saw only the first part - which wasn't so good.

    Great Show

by TommyGunnNY on 1/26/10Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Great show, they were on stage for 2hrs 40min, a long show, played 8 or 9 songs from new cd and most of the old favs.Lighting, graphics and pryo was fantastic. Axl sounded good and band was tight. Only downside was there was no female backup singers like on other tours and band singing backup on songs like live and let die didn't sound as good.

Guns N Roses still are amazing

    by MusicLover3131 on 1/26/10Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Blame Axl all you want for the dismissal of the original Guns N Roses members, but you hardly notice the band missing with Axl still running around the stage for 3 hours.... The show was amazing. The new Guns sounded amazing and Axl's voice was in good form. The show started with Danko Jones - they were pretty good. I might download a song or two from them. Bach came out and ripped thru an impressive set of old Skid Row songs. He still sounds great and amazing. The crowd was a disappointment for me during the Bach's show as everyone was sitting down. Who sits down at a rock show? Axl then came on and played with Guns for nearly 3 hours. They kicked it off with the lead track from Chinese Democracy - that rocked. All the new stuff sounded from good to awesome. You can tell that these were "warm up" shows for a bigger North American tour - as they played just about everything. From the new album they played Democarcy, Shakler, Better, Dreams, If the World, There was a Time, Raid, This i Love, and Madagascar. (i think i got them all). I would say that Democracy, Dreams, There was a Time, This I love, and Madagascar were standouts - with There Was a Time as the best. Better didnt really translate to a good live show song, which was a very small disappointment. All the old music sounds great still. If you get a chance to relive Guns N Roses at a live show - you wont be disappointted. I do have a smalll note to Canadian Fans. I am from Chicago and noticed that shows in Canada, at least in Hamilton - the crowd seemed very reserved. As in, they would stand around and not even cheer during the songs. They would wait till it was completely over then go nuts. Its just odd being the only one jamming out during the songs. Loosen up Canada and enjoy the music!

Suprized by Axl, he showed up!

by eoot on 1/19/10Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

I'll start off with my main disappointment, Buckethead was not there. Instead replaced by three no name wank-tastic guitar players that must have had a Chris Angel look-a-like contest between two of them. Due to his track record I wasn't even expecting Axl to show up. So I was pleasantly surprised that he rocked pretty hard for two and a half hours. He played most of the big hits (i missed crying) and his singing and performing skills haven't diminished over the years. But of course there was some very strange behavior on axl's part. Like running backstage during every guitar solo and most of the stage banter wan unintelligible along with a lot of teeth grinding. But hey, he rocked so who cares?

    Marathon Show

by GNRRocks on 1/19/10Rexall Place - Edmonton

Axl was impressive in this marathon showcase of new and old GNR tracks. No loss in translation with the supporting cast as the band sounded extremely well behind Axl. S Bach (Skid Row) opened for GNR and was good as well.

    Axl is in top form

by bananasforaxl on 1/18/10MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Outstanding--a must see for Gn'R fans from any era. This line-up is so talented & entertaining, and Axl's voice sounds stromger than ever. The show is a visual treat & as always, Axl pulls out all the stops...INCREDIBLE! You'll get a great mix of classics & new material in a spontaneous & fun atmosphere...do yourself a favor & go see this show.

    Pretty Tied Up

by seekanddestroy on 1/18/10Rexall Place - Edmonton

all i can say is 'wow'......... despite 3 hours of sitting and standing, axle can still captivate a crowd. they played 10 songs from their new album, and could a cut it to 5. also, all the solo's from the guitarist added to the length. it would be a really tight show with less of the new stuff, and more old stuff mixed in with the new stuff. at one point they played 7 new songs in a row!!! but they closed with paradise city so all is right in the world.
