Very nice concert. Only problem was the temps it was very cold.
The jazz fest was awesome. Very well organized and plenty of room for coolers and chairs. The atmosphere and surroundings are very inviting. Enjoyed every day.
Really enjoyed the festival, it was nice to be able to have an outdoor event that you could bring your own coolers and food chairs and wagons, and have a Great lineup of live music. I think w. Banks has done an Awesome job. Very glad to have had 2 great days of Music , it was very well attended, everyone seemed to have a good time.
I'm from the are so I try to attend every year, and when I do go I have a wonderful time. Grown folk still. I go for the music and I always leave snapping my fingers. Thank you all for a fantastic timeš
I had a FABULOUS TIME!!!! For my husband and I, this was out first year attending but will certainly not be the last. The entertainment line up was everything. Iām old school and loved them all. Favās were Gerald Albright, Spyro Gyro, Pieces of a Dream, Mindi Abair, Jeanette Harris, Blake Aaron, Brian Simpson, Down to the Bone, Four 80 East and Althea Rene. I was disappointed that Lindsey Webster could not be there and very disappointed with Norman Brown who I really looked forward to seeing perform, I know how he gets down but performance seemed kind of off to me. I was however impressed on Sunday night when due to technical/city difficulties power was lost and performance halted for a period of time. It was handled quickly and no angry upset patrons going off. Everybody continued to enjoy themselves and I felt very safe. Looking forward to next year. Attended the Jazz Festival with friends. It was so much fun! Every performance was excellent. The concert started on time both days. We had General entrance tickets for both days. The staff was Super nice and everything was nice. The performers was attentive and engaged with the audience. It was extraordinary. I am going back next year! š
From the promoter William "Cadillac"Banks, the host Morris Baxter and DJ Bam-Bam Belonge it was nothing but top-notch entertainment. Then you add in the venue by the water with all the jazz you could handle in 2 days. and then the fans there are great to be around, it's like family.
The booth where the artists sat for autographs and cd sales was almost impossible to get to. Tent ropes everywhere and chairs and garbage cans. I tried to weave my way to it but it was a tight maze.
I attended the Saturday show only, and the performances werenāt the most lively Iāve seen. Jeff Lorber was the first performer, and he had the audience nearly sleeping. The artists who followed were better, but not much. They didnāt have the crowd engaged, standing to their feet and dancing to the music, like Iāve seen at other jazz festivals. The turnover time between artists took far too long. The food vendors didnāt offer good quality food, and their prices were outrageous. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience.
This was a true smooth jazz festival!!! The music, the water and festival attendees made this a top tier event!!!! If you are looking for a great weekend of jazz and fun, mark your calendar for next year.
Loved the lineup for the festival. Also liked that you could bring in your coolers. Everyone was very respectful.
Thankful for a pleasant, enjoyable experience. I loved the music, including breaks between musicians. The people were nice, the restroom was kept clean, and the grounds were well manicured! I donāt remember getting bitten by mosquitoes - must have been because of the dragonflies - despite the scene of water!
This was our second fest and it was great. Hat's off to Cadilac Banks for his superb leadership in putting this together. Great music, great company and a just all out good time. Morris and Bam Bam keep it going between sets. Will be buying tickets for 2024 as soon as they go on sale!
Excellent in every way!!! Could use more and varied food and drink vendors...
The Gulf Coast Jazz Fest was an amazing event. The music was great, and the DJ during the set change kept us entertained and having fun all night long. Each artist was available after the performance to sign autographs and talk too. 10/10!! Canāt wait for next year
Artists were great, new temporary Restroom in the Reserved Table Section was great, vendors were great. Still too loud between shows so you cannot talk to people at your table. Biggest problem - 1-1/2 hour line to get in on the 1st Day - WITH Reserved Seats! There should be a "General Admission"and a "Reserved"Line. The 1st Show had to be delayed since there were still over 2,000 people in line at Showtime. Some improvements made from last year, more needed, but still a GREAT Show.
This jazz festival had an All Star lineup that did not disappoint. Great music š¶, great time šš¾ It gets better each yearā¼ļø
I HAVE TRAVEL FAR TO ATTEND JAZZ FESTIVALS, THIS FESTIVAL WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST I HAVE EVER TRAVELED TO..THE REASON BEING IS THE HOST ,THE DJ, AND THE PROMOTERS WERE ALL AWESOME THEY ALWAYS MENTIONED GOD AND GAVE HIM PRAISE FOR GIVING US LIFE TO BE THERE TO APPRECIATE THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC WE ENJOYED FOR AN ENTIRE WEEKEND ā¤ļø THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU.
Greatest of all time, keep it going. Love the music, love the place, love the atmosphere people, the host/production team was spot on.
GREAT! Both events were very good. Sunday's show was literally LIGHTS OUT. Despite a total power failure the show went on. Jeanette Harris never stopped and was spectacular even in the dark.
