Greta Van Fleet in Concert
In three years, Greta Van Fleet went from touring the grimy rock bars of Detroit and Saginaw to headlining shows on five continents with audiences triple their hometown’s population. The band that once attracted crowds of teens to improvised forest concerts, have now sold over one million tickets worldwide. Stadiums in Italy are a far cry from a field strewn with pick-up trucks, framed by the canopy of tall coniferous trees, where they learned to love an audience. Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater is a world away from the tiny Midwestern bars where they got their start (before they were even of legal drinking age). From Frankenmuth to a tour bus across America, then their first ever flight to Europe, their newest album The Battle at Garden’s Gate, released April 16, 2021, is a reflection of their journey into the present.
So many have been positioned as the future, we’ve forgotten how to recognize the real thing. Expectations may run high, but Greta Van Fleet is indifferent to opinion. The band doesn’t have to say a certain thing or act a certain way to convince anyone of their capacity. All they have to do is play.
Greta Van Fleet put on one of the best shows ever. They we up close and personal. LOVED IT!!!
I loved every minute of it. They rocked out and even did a small acoustic set. I would watch them 10 more times if I could. In fact that is my goal in life now.
Greta Van Fleet just keeps improving every time I see them! So impressed with their growth and the way they connect with the audience! If they come to your town...don't you dare miss them! More excitement than the Ice Cream Truck pulling into your neighborhood...oh how it feels and sounds babies!!! Cheers!!!
Went to the austin show with my sister and had an amazing time the show was absolutely fabulous and everything I hoped for and more!!!
Went to this concert with my lovely boyfriend. The openers were AMAZING and I've been dabbling in them ever since. As soon as the curtain dropped for GVF, we stood up and started screaming. We were jumping around, dancing, and singing along. It was amazing and I don't think there could've been a better first date for he and I. Thank you Mirador, GEESE, and Greta Van Fleet for the wonderful performances!
The venue was great EXCEPT for parking, the choice there is pay $65.00 to get close or park up to a mile away. The show/band was one of the best EVER. Greta Van Fleet did not disappoint and exceeded my expectations by far. Well worth the ticket price…..
Actually, greatest band live or recorded. Some kind of magic comes through the music, with Jake speaking poetry through his guitar, Josh channeling angels, Danny in a meditative drum flow, and Sam weaving everything together on bass and keys. It’s a spectacle, as a good rock show should be. But it also feels intimate somehow. The band means what they’re saying, and they’re saying it just to you.
Amazing, Still one of the best artists I’ve seen preform live! I highly recommend everyone a fan of rock or just plain good music to go see Greta Van Fleet!!
One of the best concerts we've been to. Greta Van Fleet was so amazing, such an unforgettable performance!!
opening bands were less than interesting. WAY too much guitar solo by GVF. We left early irritated by the long guitar solo and nonstop extended sustained vocal notes. It was a bit much. I think they've grown a little too big for their britches in a short time. I love their music, but live performance was over done. Acoustic part was great though.
