Mixing an incisive wit with scathing sarcasm, Greg Fitzsimmons has achieved success as a stand-up, Emmy Award winning writer and producer and radio and TV host. A regular with David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jay Leno, Greg has made more than 60 visits to "The Howard Stern Show" and hosts his own weekly radio show, "The Greg Fitzsimmons Show," on Sirius XM's "Howard 101."
Greg recently authored his first book, Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons, in which he tells his life story through the many, many disciplinary letters, incident reports, and in worst cases, newspaper clippings, that his parents received from teachers and school officials. Fitzsimmons picks up where his parents left off with his own collection of letters received during college and throughout his career.
Greg is currently a writer on "The Jamie Foxx Show" and his podcast "Greg Fitzsimmons Experience" is one of the most downloaded podcasts on I-tunes. He is developing a series for Twentieth Century Fox Television and continues writing and starring in "Dog vs. Cat" for Adult Swim. He recently shot a pilot for VH1 where he's made many appearances on "Best Week Ever" and the "I Love the..." series. Star of two half-hour specials for Comedy Central, in 2008 Greg was seen in an episode of "C.S.I." and he hosted "The AVN Adult Movie Awards" on Showtime.
Greg won four Daytime Emmy Awards as writer and producer on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and has written for HBO's first original sitcom, "Lucky Louie" as well as for "Cedric the Entertainer Presents," "Politically Incorrect w/ Bill Maher" and "The Man Show". For more on Greg visit www.fitzdog.com.
My husband and I had a blast! Loved his humor. Truly an artist.
From the warmup by Foser to the jokes by Fitzsimmons this was a delightful time.
Great show, great venue! Greg and the openers were hilarious and the venue has easy drink and bathroom access. Loved it!
Awesome opening acts, and he was hilarious, my friends and I really enjoyed ourselves.
very funny but over emphasized vulgarity and sexual situations. Talking about sex is funny but too much vulgarity takes the humor to a gross level
As a regular listener to Greg Fitzsimmons' podcast and a fan of his stand-up, seeing him live is never more of the same. My husband, who does nor follow comedy at all but gets dragged to the occasional show with me thought he was hilarious and one of the best he's seen ;)
Greg is an amazing comedian. I love his podcast as well
Greg had an outstanding routine. I went to both the Friday and Saturday show.
Only one headliner, but still an amazing and hilarious show.
Hilarious! It was the perfect double date with our closest friends--we couldn't stop laughing, evening after the event was over! Look forward to Greg coming back to town!
Funny, but remained on one topic most of the performance.
This show was great. It started with the opening act:Orlando he was great and it lead into a fabulous show from Greg Fitzsimmons. We laughed the whole show. I would definately go to this show again.
I regularly listen to Greg Fitzsimmon's podcast, and have been a fan of his comedy for awhile, but had never seen him live. As such, I was super excited to see him, but thought I might be disappointed because of my high expectations. He was amazing!! It was great to see him in Boston, and in an atmosphere that's closer to a comedy club (as opposed to seeing a late night set, or something similar that is so refined and strict). He's not only a seasoned comedian, but he's great at crowd work and riffing new ideas. Honestly, I (and the crowd) was cracking up the entire time. It was a great time!
This was one of the best comedy shows I've seen a some time. "Fitzy" was funny from beginning to end and had great interaction with the audience. He did a great job "painting a picture" for his humor and looped back some topics from the early part of the show to jokes at the end. His time at BU gave him great insight into the "culture" of Boston and his comparision between the straight laced liberal well to do folks and the townies coming to see "fitzy at the wilba" and "going to the cape" were a riot. We had a great time.
