Green Velvet and DJ VO delivered. Thank you for a wonderful event!
I've been a fan for over 25 years. Always so happy when Green Velvet visits Boston! The Grand is small and doesn't have enough room for dancing.....the owners seem to just let an unlimited amount of people in for profit which is sooooo upsetting. One of the best original house DJs of all time and we can't even get a little amount of room to dance!!!
I’ve seen a lot of live shows and this is in my top 5, hands down. The venue is one of the best in Chicago! It was Green Velvet’s birthday weekend in his hometown so you know it was wild!!
Great show at a great venue! Truly enjoyed the sound and light show!
The performances were great but something was really off with the lights and displays… The Salt Shed doesn’t quite have it put together like Radius just yet. Still a work in progress but it’s great to see more venues coming to the city.
Green velvet put on an incredible show and the venue was sick - highly recommend
Had a great time with a group of friends. Safe atmosphere, able to get drinks efficiently and cool venue. Great performance, venue and crowd!
When I saw the ad for this event, I hurried to book my flight from Oakland despite the fact that my stay couldn’t exceed 23 hours and I knew I’d be recovering from surgery. I’m disabled and because the venue is new, I got conflicting answers on all my questions and had really begun to second-guess my whole plan. But when Green Velvet does a set with Miss Crystal Waters and the legendary Dajae in the birthplace of hoodie music, the good time is guaranteed - and once I showed up with my crew, it was nonstop bliss & revelry. We started out on the floor and when I was ready to collapse, we went up to our seats in the Grandstands. I had been worried we’d feel removed from the scene if we left the floor but most of the people in the Grands were still up dancing, the seats were luxuriously comfy and thrumming with the bass, and the view of the dancers and the lasers was glorious. My friends and I got up as the spirit moved us, and we’re able to pace ourselves to stay out longer than we probably could’ve otherwise, since we all had some health issues going on. I’ve been broke most of my life and now that I’m getting older & have the money to do fun stuff, I wonder sometimes about accessibility and whether my party days are over - but the Salt Shed was a vision of a future where I can enjoy dance music and experience communion and excitement while also taking care of myself and my friends. It was everything I could’ve asked for and so much more. In the end they had to blare Paul Simon at us to get us out of the venue, and I’m still dancing here at home, feeling starry-eyed and sore and ready to do it all over again! Green Velvet is impeccable, hilarious, unmissable. Do yourself a favor if you ever get the chance and go see him do his thing - especially if Dajae is gonna be there!!
Music and lighting was exceptional- adding platforms for gogo dancers was a nice touch!
Green Velvet and The Grand stole my heart and my first time at the club dancefloor.
