Games were fun to watch but I have a few recommendations for the the future. First is replays of big plays/goals should be shown on the big screen instead of just the live play. Second is during intermissions show a review of the goals and after that show other big sporting events on like the Red Wings and Lions games.

Awesome time @ the Joe!
by GLIGreg on 1/1/15Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 53 tickets for two college hockey games at the Joe - $90 Food & Souvenirs - $200 Spending time with my two boys - PRICELESS! These seats were as near to perfect as you can get. Sitting just to the right of center ice behind the penalty box afforded us a view that you could no way see if you were a row or two closer. These seats in my opinion were perfect. The GLI Crowd is always a good group of people who more than not keep things under control. We have been coming for years and will continue the tradition. If you or your family love college hockey, you need to go see this event next year. Simply fantastic is all I can say!

GLI tired like the Joe
by Lochlemonde on 1/1/15Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5I used to attend the GLI on an annual basis 20 years ago. The event, like the arena has become tired and lackluster. Perhaps looking at how old and decrepit the seats are at the Joe depressed me for the rest of the night. They are original from the 70s, and look and certainly feel like it. The hockey was also very blah, very few exciting rushes, just safe defensive hockey. Ho hum. Hopefully the electricity will be back with the new arena.
GLI worth the price of admission
by ErichsGrandpa on 12/31/14Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5To get two hockey games for this price was great value. And, it was my grandson's date's first live hockey game and she loved it. With Lower bowl seats like ours you could actually hear the hits as well as "feel" them. Lots of enthusiasm in the crowd made for a fun time.
