  • GLI was great!

by GoMTUhuskies on 1/18/18Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

I watched all of the games at the Great Lakes Invitational Tournament. The games were exciting and I enjoyed watching them all. I think the crowds were smaller than usual and it took away some of the excitement of the games. Little Caesars is a beautiful venue to watch a hockey game. The staff was helpful and friendly if you had any questions for them. The only drawback for me was the scheduled days for the tournament. It would have been better if it was held on a weekend. I think more fans would have showed if it was scheduled on a Friday and Saturday. This would especially help for fans who traveled long distances. During the week makes it harder for people to attend.

  • This college hockey event shouldn’t be missed!

by sandbg on 1/5/18Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

This was an off year for the GLI with poor attendance due to unfavorable dates forced upon the hosts, but this college hockey event should not be missed! I would not recommend the upper bowl general admission in this arena though, due to the steep viewing angle and seating that makes you feel somewhat dizzy. The seats are tight with very little room for your legs. The lower bowl seating is much more generous and not as steep. Next year it will be played between Christmas and New Years as usual, so gear up for a better experience. Lots of restaurants at Little Caesar’s and an impressive jumbo screen for viewing all the details and replays. They were nice enough to let us sit in the lower bowl for the second game due to so many open seats.

  • Great seats, entertaining hockey

by GioDags on 1/5/18Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The seats behind the penalty box 14 rows up center ice are the ultimate hockey diehards seat. The chatter from the referees and skaters was a new experience to me. Little Caesar’s Arena did a great job making the lower club section the ultimate experience.

  • Awesome experience

Although my school lost in the championship. The atmosphere was great. I felt so welcomed by the staff. I will be there again soon

  • GLI was so much fun

by CapZetty on 1/5/18Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

It’s the closest we’ve ever sat at a hockey game. Row Six right behind the penalty boxes. It was amazing. The only problem was that we were eye level with the top of the glass so it was kind of awkward seeing over the glass, and under it. So I’d preferred to have maybe been either up one row, or down one row.

  • Amazing event

First time going to Little Ceasers Arena and it did not disappoint. I mainly went there to watch BGSU since they haven’t played there since 1984. The whole event was well ran and the ticket prices were reasonable for being at a new arena.

  • Great Lakes Invitational Hockey Good LCA Bad

by Bluiser on 1/4/18Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

I was ticked off that the main LCA corridor was not open until game time - 2:30. How ridiculous!

  • GLI was amazing!

How lucky we were to get to see our son play at this amazing venue! The staff was top notch-always a friendly hi or guidance if needed. A special thanks to Joy and Nicholas for giving us a peek at some of the super cool features.

  • GLI Hockey

by Ktmadventure on 1/4/18Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

I love watching college Hockey. Been going a few years now. Little Caesars Arena is beautiful. I bought the 20 general admission seats and they jammed everyone into 2 sections, I will never sit in those seats again. My knees actually hurt from loss of blood circulation from sitting 3 periods. You can’t move up there.

  • Amazing Experience

Took my young boys to the GLI as part of our holiday tradition. Little Caesars Arena is an amazing new venue. Lots for kids to do. Seats were great!

  • Great experience

by DylanN on 1/2/17Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Both games were incredible! My cousin, brother and I got to play during the second intermission of the first game in bubble hockey, which was amazing, and my team won the championship game. So I glad I got the tickets for this event, and I definitely recommend going lower bowl for this event next year!!!!!!

What a great family event over the holidays. We have attended for many years and love the GLI.

  • Goodbye JLA

by detroitdrugrep on 1/1/17Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

Everything is in a rebuild. Building of the Little Ceasar's Arena, not too soon. Rebuild of Detroit. Rebuild of U of M and MSU hockey teams. Games were not as exciting as in the past. The crowds were not as boisterous. Word of warning for those with knee issues, DON'T sit in Row 8 lower bowl. It will be painful as there is NO LEG ROOM at all.

  • GLi Tournament

by MissyI on 1/4/16Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This is such an awesome tournament to attend. Four games for $40! It's great college hockey. We sit right behin the goalie and don't miss any of the action. Joe Louis Arena is a great venue for this tourney!

  • GLI Game

    by Bowrick311 on 1/2/16Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

With the Litlte Caesars 4-Pack there was very limited concessions were you could get the free pizza and drink. Lines were extremely long causing us to miss some of the game. Initially we waited in a Little Caesars line for about 20-minutes only to find out they only sold deep dish and took us to go to a diffferent concession. Big waste of time. Had the general admission seats but with two young boys we tried to get near the glass for some pictures during warm-up only to have the ushers stop us. Really??? Also in the last period there was thousands of open seats in the lower bowl but the ushers would not allow us to move to those seats. Pretty stupid seeing no one was seating in those seats. Ushers acted like this was the final game of the Stanley Cup!

  • Great tourney

by MNNanook on 1/1/16Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

A great tourney and love The Joe. Hopefully, it will transfer well over to the new arena.

  • U of Michigan hockey ROCKS!!!!

by EffieMae on 1/1/16Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This is our second year attending this event. We were up to 2-day passes for a group of 5 this year and we already have two more friends who want to be added next year. I have to say that the customer service at the Joe Louis Arena is vastly improved now than it was even two-three years ago. I printed up the wrong passes for the first day and it was a quick trip to the Will Call window to correct my mistake. It took less than 3 minutes for them to print up new tickets for us!

  • Best college hockey around

by detroitdrugrep on 1/1/16Joe Louis Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Because of schedules and locations, this tournament offers the opportunity to see future NHL players. I have been attending for over 25 years and will do so God willing
