I love the GR Symphony. They perform such a wide variety of music styles and size of show. Their community outreach to promote a love and learning of music is top notch. Always an evening well spent.

    Engaging for the whole family

by Roxann on 5/7/24DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

My family enjoyed the performance immensely. The performers are incredibly talented and the director inserted humor in his into to each piece. There were surprise actors that delighted the kids.

    Fantastic experience

by Claire on 5/6/24DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

Bob Bernhardt and the GR symphony along with the GR symphony chorus and GR youth chorus did a phenomenal job sharing John William's Star Wars works with us.

Loved the Grand Rapids Symphony Chorus performance on Friday night at Devos. It was simply outstanding! Loved the Dan Forrest Requiem for the Living! It was done with such musical artistry! So happy to be at this performance!

    Pure Joy

by Linda R. on 4/5/24DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

I never knew that I was missing boy band members singing boy band songs with the backing of a full symphony orchestra in my life, but I am so, so glad it exists. The energy was high and I had the time of my life!

    Boy Band Fun

by Britt on 4/1/24DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

I haven’t had that much fun at a show in a long time! I didn’t know what to expect with a symphony backing my favorite boy band tunes, but it was amazing! And the symphony got in on the fun, too. Everyone was having a good time, singing and dancing along with the guys. I only wish the show was longer — it’s 45 minutes, 15 minute break, then another 30-45 minutes.

    Symphony

by Boy band on 4/1/24DeVos Performance Hall - Grand Rapids

It was a nice show. However, the symphony was drowned out by the band in front of them making it sound like a regular concert. You could hear the symphony when it first started up the songs after that the drums, guitar players and keyboard player took over, along with the singing. Would have been nice to hear the music sung to the symphony playing.

    Beethoven

Took my mom and boyfriend for the first time for all of us. It definitely was a great experience and would love to come back to hear Beethovens older symphonies.
