Gathering with my small group to eat, laugh and enjoy. The weather was great, music fit the mood and the fireworks were amazing. We even enjoyed a birthday party for Gloria. Had a great time.
Not only did Buddy Holly look, act and gyrate like Buddy, but he played just like Buddy. Ruddy Valens also was very good. I had a fantastic evening . The Big Bopper was alright and is part of the show. This event set the tone for the next evening which was the Ottawa Hills 50th graduation reunion.
My third time to Picnic Pops. Always well organized. Getting in and out was quicker than expected. Greeters, ticket takers, parking lot attendants, all personnel very friendly and welcoming. Music was fun. Overall, a fun experience.
I thought the show was fantastic till the very end............then the bit with Elvis came out and left a bad feeling walking out. We thought that was in bad taste, from the person who did the bit, to the song. Not a great ending to an otherwise great show.
The show was excellent the setting is wonderful it made for a very enjoyable evening.
