Grace VanderWaal on Tour
When Grace VanderWaal auditioned for America's Got Talent at the age of 12, Simon Cowell called her "the next Taylor Swift." That was in 2016, and all she had at the time was her voice and a ukulele. To be clear, that's all that this young woman from Suffern, New York, needs to hold an audience's attention — her raspy voice, sweet strumming and wise-beyond-her-years songs are a marvel to behold in person — but VanderWaal has only become more skillful and worldly since winning that show's 11th season. And she's taken her indie-folk-meets-artsy-pop act everywhere from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to the Special Olympics (duetting with Jason Mraz) to opening slots on tours by Imagine Dragons and Florence + the Machine. She's also added a band to her performances, which gives her bigger songs that extra oomph, but the highlight is seeing VanderWaal front and center, uke in hand, bouncing and cooing as she pours her heart out to the crowd.
Grace VanderWaal in Concert
On the night that Grace VanderWaal won America's Got Talent at the age of 12, Stevie Nicks gushed, "She reminds me a lot of me...we like to be a little different...not like anybody else." VanderWaal's individuality — that combination of an unbelievably high emotional intelligence and a quirky-but-not-cutesy approach to singing and songwriting — is the defining hallmark of her career and it goes back to her childhood. VanderWaal began singing her own made-up songs at three, and within a few years began searching for more grown-up subject matter, writing lyrics from the perspective of characters in movies she'd seen. She bought herself a ukulele at 11, taught herself to play by watching videos online, and soon began posting videos of her own. When she tried out for AGT, it was with an original song about shifting identity, "I Don't Know My Name." Afterward she'd be invited to play that composition on countless talk shows, not to mention record it for her major-label debut EP, 2016's Perfectly Imperfect. Her 2017 full-length, Just the Beginning, found VanderWaal incorporating more modern electronic pop production into her otherwise acoustically driven sound. That opened the door for exciting new sonic hybrids, like 2018's "Clearly" (a boldly neon reinterpretation of Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now") and the epic, "Hideaway," recorded for the animated film Wonder Park.

Grace was so energetic and great in concert. She was better than I even expected. The VIP meet and greet that we did was worth every penny too. My daughter and her friend were so happy to meet her in person. Grace is a very talented young lady and puts on a great show.
she was just great.. i had a wonderful time there at the fillmore
What can I say about Grace Vanderwall from the very 1st time I saw her at the troubadour pm yjr Just The Beginimg tour show #1 she took my breath away with her music and her singing style. She has ever evolved with each and every show that I have attended I believe this is my 8th Grace VanderWaal concert I've been to. Such a joy to see a positive artist evolve from a young girl to a teenager and I can't wait to see what the future brings. This girl is far ahead over time and always bring the beautiful melodies with all of her original songs. Unlike anything I've ever heard or ever experienced. Ticket prices are always fair and the show always goes above and beyond anything that you paid. Every venue that I have seen her at has been such a joy. I am still buzzing from her four SOLD OUT dates in LA on the you're so beautiful tour I attended 3 of these dates and I love every minute of it. Keep doing what you're doing grace the world's need more artist like you. If you're on the fence about going to a grace around awhile concert let me tell you go it will change your life 1Troubador ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2Hawthorne Theater ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3 Forum ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4Grammy Museum ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5Forum ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 6OC observatory⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 7 El Rey Theater⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8 Elrey Theater⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ *charming Charlies ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In almost 40 years of concert going in the LA area, I have never witnessed the birth of a supernova like I did on a Sunday night at the Forum. Grace was music, music was grace, I could not tell which was which. Such a commanding performance, what words, feeling, and inspiration to the songs, what delivery!! My friend and I huddled in each others arms, a spontaneous bonding of love and affection, of caring and compassion, moved to tears by a 14 year old girl with a uke. So blessed to go on a whim, so richly rewarded!! More, more, more, please, please, please, come back to LA now, we need you here bad!!
Grace Vanderwaal Puts On An Amazing Performance. Saw Her At The Troubador And Was Instantly Blown Away. Such High Energy And Connection With The Crowd. Sweet Raspy Voice And Stage Presence Of A Pro.
Grace Vanderwaal's performance at Irving Plaza was perfection- intimate venue, everyone was happy, Grace is excellent in live shows. Her songs are fabulous and her voice sounds even better live. The surprise appearance of her sister Olivia on stage throwing t-shirts to the crowd was a supreme plus!

As the title states Grave VanderWaal is amazing. She has the best voice, and the best personality. I also truly believe she will become the next star. I love her so much, and I recommend everyone to go listen to her music. "I don't know my name" is beyond amazing, well all of her songs are amazing, but "I don't know my name" is my favorite
