    Grande Gotan!

by cpu278 on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

Concert started almost at 9pm I think. That was the only bad thing about it. Gotan was amazing, they put a great show with lights and video, and the music was beautiful. One of the best shows this year!

    Gotan = Love

by VioletteM on 10/5/10Club Nokia - Los Angeles

I had an amazing time at this concert. Gotan Project has proven themselves to be better LIVE, which is something I have never said about any concert I've been to...especially since there is an electronic undertone to this music... Simply breathtaking, every single song and melody is playing in my head right now...

    Go Tan -a memorable night.

by cajunking75 on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

Having seen over one hundred live stage shows in my life, I would rate this the best ever. It was satisfying, exhilarating, joyful, mesmerizing and beautiful to view. It excited all my senses. If lifted my vibration to new levels. The combination of sound, light, holographic images and music was ecstatic. I am already looking at their schedule to figure out a way to seem again soon.

Gotan Project was GREAT...whole experience not so.

by Aquamation on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

Totally frustrated with the timing of the concert!!!! Opening act(which was awful)didn't come on until close to 9:00!! Gotan Project at 10:00. We were left sitting for too long . Love Gotan Project but the acoustics were not adquate to do justice to their music.

    A Class Act

by Aralani on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

Beautifully lit and exquisitely performed, The Gotan Project thrilled the crowd with their gorgeous Paris/Buenos Aires sound. The opening band, The General Elektriks, were an excellent warm-up for the main act.

Gotan was great, though the hour was late

by Middleagedude on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

They played all their signature songs and the stage was set nicely. Very classy act and thoroughly enjoyed the show. My only gripe was that the opening act didn't start until 8:30, and they lasted a good 45 minutes, then 15+ minutes in between for set-up, so Gotan did not perform until 9:45, which was a very late start for a Sunday evening.

    They started 2 hours late!!

by Mike789 on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

Love the Gotan Project, but they need to mention that there's an opening band, and that even the opening band will start 1 hour late. Gotan themselves started after 10pm (even though the show tickets were for 8pm). That's just not cool on a Sunday night when people might not have 2 hours to stand around.

GOTAN blew me away, but venue needs better ushers

by BellaB06 on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

If Gotan hadn't been totally and completely awesome, this review would be 2 stars for sure... the 2 "bands" before gotan were seriously questionable. I asked the usher next to our seats when the show would start as it was 8:45 and the show had a start time of 8pm. He said, "Oh, it already started... That random DJ over there is the first act." It wasn't that the DJ was bad, but there was no focus on him and the music was too low so no one even knew the concert had started! Act 2 was an interesting band but I didn't like them enough to buy any of their music and the stage they set up was incredibly cluttered so it looked like watching a new band in a dive bar... but then GOTAN, I would argue they actually sound better in person, their stage set up was crisp and clean, and the light and visual show that accompanied it was the icing on the cake. I would see them again in a heartbeat. However, everyone else loved them too and somewhere in the middle of the show, the ushers keeping the aisles clear for our seriously fab seats (DD 104/105) disappeared and all these random people started dancing literally right in front of us so we couldn't see. Luckily all moved when asked, but it's pretty annoying to ask someone to move about every 2 minutes for the last 45 minutes of the show... and very distracting to the awesome band we're trying to enjoy. Warfield, WHERE DID YOUR USHERS GO?!

Gotan Project = sexy music, beautiful concert

by Appaluci on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

They don't move around a lot on stage, but don't really have to. The music is spectacular. The bandoneon player was hypnotic to me. Their opening act, "General Electrics" or something?? was also awesome, and so entertaining and energetic.

    Gotan was great, seats sucked

by Doordude on 10/5/10The Warfield - San Francisco

Paid extra to close seats in the balcony only to have to move way up to the top to see the band. Huge speaker stack hanging from the ceiling blocked 90% of the stage. They shouldn't sell the seats on the side. Gotan was great, but the Warfield sucks. Will never go to a show there again.

    Go tango

by losangelbear on 10/5/10Club Nokia - Los Angeles

A wonderful concert. Gotan performed their well-known standards and introduced great new songs. A nice venue with people doing the tango on the edges General Electric captured us with their virtuosity. Jazz Xylophone. And a great DJ while we waited.
