One of The Best Show EVER

by Anonymous on 10/10/10Madison Square Garden - New York

The show was amazing! very dynamic, great spectacle! And as an animator/illustrator it was a bonus for me to see all these exclusive drawings and videos projected and the screen! I came by myself and was feeling a little blue, I came out feeling happy and all fuzzy inside :D

    The best Gorillaz yet!

by denlo on 10/10/10Madison Square Garden - New York

We have seen The Gorillaz on every one of their NYC appearances. We saw the entire week of concerts they played in support of Demon Days @ The Apollo. This was by far their best line up and show. While their Apollo shows had more guests, Shaun Ryder, Ike Turner, and on the last night Dennis Hopper, this show had a stronger band. There were still guests a plenty, Lou Reed, Bobby Womack, Mos Def, De La Soul but having Mick Jones and Paul Simonon in their bad ignited their fire. They gave much of the music a Clash like feel. Actually their concept of having large screen hi-def videos custom made for each song works well in a large venue. You tend to spend as much time rivited to the screen as to watching the musicians on stage. This makes the songs where the singer isn't there live, i.e. Snoop Dogg or Shaun Ryder work. They still feel like they are interacting with the live band. Another plus was Damon Albarn's revitalized stage presents. This tour is not to be missed. We have probably gone to in excess of 80 concerts so far this year and this places way up on top.

    Sound and Vision

by Anonymous on 10/10/10Madison Square Garden - New York

I was worried the show was going to only be from the current album (which I love, just wanted to hear all the classics too!), but I had nothing to worry about. The combination of the visuals, music and multitude of guests was fantastic!

Gorillaz put on one hell of a show.

by Anonymous on 10/9/10Agganis Arena - Boston

Gorillaz was incredible from beginning to the very end. Lead singer Damon Albarn was jumping around and really into the performance. He might have enjoyed it more than the crowd. Performed 4 encore songs.

    Gorillaz where awesome

by Warwickben on 10/9/10Agganis Arena - Boston

I never seen then play live befor, but since there one of my fav bands I had a idea how the show would be. On this tour the touring band wasn't hidden. Great stage setup great sound and great vids plays above the band. My only complant was that when they brought guest rappers/singerson stage or told you Who was who they didn't have them on the screen.

by laurelart on 10/8/10Agganis Arena - Boston

A superb energetic show! Damon Albairn is wonderful , bouncing, jumping and strutting around - lighting up the whole stage with his energy! The rest of the band and strings were superb too... the atmosphere and visuals took us away to Plastic Beach and beyond!

    Gorillaz rocked the house!

by Picklefish on 10/8/10Agganis Arena - Boston

et was exciting and sounded great. Damon Albarn continues to be a musical genius. I loved the Swedish female vocalist he brought out for a few songs. Lovely voice and a welcome counterpart to some of the macho rap swagger.

    Amazing Show!

by iHeartNoodleS on 10/8/10Agganis Arena - Boston

The venue couldn't have been more accommodating for the show. The facility was really clean and new and the staff was very helpful. I would go there again for any type of event! The acoustics were close to perfect and the sound was crisp and clear. The parking was a tad expensive but very close and convenient. The Gorillaz was a musically diverse show. There was no pyro, no flashy set design, no mega stars, JUST MUSIC. They achieved what they set out to do: Put on an amazing show. I read several reviews online and in the newspaper. Music fans in general enjoyed the show, whether you are a obsessive Gorillaz fan like myself or just out to have a good time. There was something for everyone.
