Wonderful concert. The Quintent was tight and cooked. But the performance was marred by a guy who took a seat on the first row (not his) right in front of mine and tried to record the concert. The light from his phone distracted from the performance.
Grace Kelly is so much fun to see. Such a talent both playing Sax and singing! So energetic! My third time seeing her and I hope to experience her performances many more times in the future!
Grace was talented, energetic and engaging. The quartet was a must see. Would definitely go see her again.
Cyrille Aimee was wonderful. Great performance with a fantastic band. I have enjoyed her singing and dancing since the Jazz Fest in Chicago in 2015. More please
The musicians were excellent and entertaining! It was a nice way to spend an evening. Every group has their own particular flavor of course. There was a bit too much talking about who did what- who wrote this when it was which film it was from etc. Perhaps another long song could’ve been had with less talking. But that is the only negative. This was the first time that I saw this group and so maybe that is what they are known for. The pianist Isaiah?- just amazing!
I have never been more relaxed while listening to the John Pizzarelli Trio. Always loved his music and the performance did not disappoint. I felt comfortably wrapped in the warmth of John's patter and the talent of the trio just cinched everything. It was like an evening in front of the fire with an. old friend. The great American songbook was on full display.
First time seeing the Shelley Berg Trio, I was expecting a frustrated music dean able but inert. Boy was I wrong! What a trio. Shelley Berg's fingers are lightning fast, without being just a show-off speed show. His melodies are contagious, and his bassist and drummer complement perfectly. The draw for most of the audience, it seemed, was the vocalist Tierney Sutton, an amiable vocalist who put together some very clever arrangements mashing up songs with different eras and styles. I regret to say, though, that her performance felt more "selling it"than singing it. The trio by itself would have been more than enough.
Bill Maytag is a jazz genius. His band was excellent. The arrangements were beautiful. I wept on occasion.
Great entertainment with live jazz, especially live Christmas Holiday Music Jazz. Hope Billy & group of talented musicians return next Holiday season.

Great evening, the band was awesome. This was a highlight of my Florida trip and will return next year. The talent on the stage was phenomenal, they blended their sounds perfectly, a joy to hear!! Rare today to hear experienced musicians playing so superbly, can’t wait til next year!!!
Nice treat after 38 months away from the venue, "Thank You" pandemic and Dr. Fauci ! Played many of my favorites : "Splanky" "Lil Darlin", "Shiny Stockings", "April in Paris", (No mention that it was a Wild Bill Davidson Arrangement) "Whirlibird" "Jumpin' at the Woodside", "Corner Pocket" among others. Appreciated the Neal Hefti recognition and his contributions to the Basie book. Next year, ... get the DIVA Band ! Go here : www.divajazz.com/ They're amazing! I've been a fan of theirs for over 30 years. Have seen them perform, in person, many times, including on a jazz cruise along with the cream of the jazz community. Check it out !!
Frank Derrick and his Big Band were spectacular! As soon as they started the first set we knew we were in for a great evening. We thought all the musicians had played together for a long time, but Mr. Derrick told the audience that they had just practiced together that day. We love the big band sound and the expertise of all 16 musicians. Mr. Derrick was superb on the drums! We look forward to seeing him again at the Amaturo next season with the Gold Coast Jazz Society!
Talk about an intimate venue for great jazz… there is not a bad seat at the Amaturo Theatre. We were fortunate enough to watch the entire GoldCoast Jazz Series with one left to go in May and they were all outstanding in their own special way. Can’t wait to see the 2023-2024 lineup!!

Chuchito Valdes and his quartet were fantastic. Great group of musicians. Chuchito plays the piano like the best. I highly recommend seeing this quartet.
The band was great and they played for a really long time. The musicians were smiling a lot which was nice to see. The venue is beautiful and the valet parking was convenient. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed the Chichito Valdes Jr. Quartet. Chichito is very charismatic and entertaining with his Latin Jazz style. The base, bongos, and drums blended perfectly with his piano. I highly recommend this jazz quartet!
South Florida family and friends made this show even more intimate.
