About

Godsmack were a big part of the late ’90s hard rock revival, and they’ve continued to lead the way for legacy rock acts with three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, 28 Top 10 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, three Grammy nominations and over 20 million albums sold worldwide. The quartet formed in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1995 and played their first shows in Boston bars before recording their 1997 independent album, All Wound Up…, which was later reworked as their quadruple-platinum, major label debut, Godsmack, in 1998. The band’s profile grew as they joined the Ozzfest tour in 1999 and 2000, dropped their sophomore album Awake on Halloween 2000 and earned their first two No. 1 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with the album’s title track and 2002’s “I Stand Alone” from The Scorpion King soundtrack. Ahead of the release of 2003’s Faceless, Godsmack assembled their long-standing core lineup of founding members Sully Erna and Robbie Merrill along with guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin. The album kicked off a three-album streak of Billboard 200 No. 1 debuts including 2006’s IV and 2010’s The Oracle. The band collected their second career platinum-certified single with “Bulletproof” off 2018’s When Legends Rise, which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2023, the band unveiled their eighth studio album, Lighting Up the Sky.

    Godsmack was super awesome

by Tommy on 5/8/24The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

The venue was perfect, our seats were outstanding! Godsmack put on one heck of a show, the place was sold out and we were really happy to see Godsmack with our vip tickets. Can’t wait to see them again next time they are at MGM Grand

One of the best Godsmack shows we've seen. We've seen them several times all of which were great but this one was a step above! Love these guys and look forward to the next one!

    Great!

by Alejandro on 5/7/24New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

I loved the show. Godsmack is one of my favorite bands. It was a smaller show but I can say I felt the connection with them and its energy. The only thing that I would change is to avoid covers, the Band has a lot of good songs and specially to close the show. I kind of understand the idea of the covers but I would prefer to listen more of their music, I will never get tired of it.

    Awesome show!

by Dogma on 5/7/24New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Totally awesome show! Loved the more intimate setting and getting back to the actual musical roots of the band. Only issue I had was the people getting up for alcohol every 10 minutes or so. Felt like I was sitting on a pin cushion with how much I was having to jump up to let people pass.

    Godsmack rocks!

by Bev on 5/7/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

This was a fantastic show! I'm so glad I drove down from CT to Atlantic City to see them. Totally worth the drive! I wasn't sure if this was going to be a full-on rock concert because it is called the Vibez tour-an intimate evening w/ Godsmack. The opening guy, Bastian da Cruz was great-he's from Denmark. Acoustic which is not normally my thing. Sully and the guys gave a great performance. I love their songs and the way Sully spoke to the audience and revealed some details of his personal life, really hit close to home. The story behind Truth was very powerful...to have to go thru something so terrible, to come out the other side and write an amazing song, really shows his talent as an artist. I can't wait to see them again, whether in CT, AC or somewhere else. Can't say enough good things about it!! Definitely a must-see!

    What I expected

by Tricia G on 5/7/24New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

I I went to this concert as a Christmas present for my husband, not knowing what to expect. I only knew one song that they sang, which was voodoo and as much as I love that song, I think that’s the only song I actually knew. What I learned was they are a very talented band and the lead singer’s voice is absolutely amazing in an acoustic setting . The entire show was amazing from the visual effects to the way they played together as a band and the stories behind some of the songs that they love and that they wrote. What was more impressive was the venue we saw them at. I will be looking for concerts at this particular venue again because it was wonderful inside. It was very nice very clean. We picked a hotel that was close by so we just walked to the show which was less than two minutes from the hotel. I truly enjoyed Godsmack and would definitely see them again, but the next time I hope to see them in their original form Instead of this more intimate setting. I definitely definitely became a fan after that show.
