About

When two sets of parents come together for a civilized evening of coffee, cake and conversation about their misbehaving kids, they quickly find themselves on a comically explosive downhill slide from political correctness to character assassination. Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, God of Carnage is a hilarious look at the minefield of modern relationships. Contains mature language.

God of Carnage Over the Top

by 15Red on 11/6/11Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

The play itself was interesting and comical. Unfortunately, the character of Veronica, severely detracted from the other actors. Her portrayal was over the top and her physical mannerisms and demeanor were at best annoying. As long as she was not speaking, I was amused and entertained. I kept thinking, who else might have played her role, which would have made the entire production better. I was expecting more from a play that won the Tony in 2009.

    depressing

by ENTJ on 11/5/11Temple of Music and Art - Tucson

The acting was excellent but the story line was very depressing. If a play is going to rake through the muck of human frailties, I at least like a happy ending. This started out funny but ended up making me feel discouraged rather than entertained.

    Do Not Miss

The cast of four gave a great performance of a this comedic take on society's continued quest to be civilized. The playwright did an amazing job of hitting the nail on the head of modern life and marriage. You'll laugh out loud and leave pondering the deeper meaning of the comedic play.
