Gloria Trevi on Tour

In the late ‘80s, Gloria Trevi made her live singing debut on the biggest Mexican variety show at the time and proceeded to shock the world when she was censored on national television for her daringly outrageous performance of "Dr. Psiquiatra." And thus Trevi's shock-pop was born — and so was one of the most notorious artists of our era. Her performances brim with high drama, outlandish theatrics and plenty of sass, and the original Mexican wild child continues to dazzle audiences the world over via her irresistible moxie. On her 2019 North American tour, in support of her pop album Diosa de la Noche, audiences of all ages got an opportunity to see a truly legendary and multifaceted pop performer.

Born Gloria de los Ángeles Treviño Ruiz in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1968, the singer-songwriter moved to Mexico City during her teenage years to conquer Spanish-language pop, which she righteously did. Along the way, Trevi also rewrote the Latin pop playbook in a time when female performers were expected to be glamorous or wholesome. Though her biting critique on machismo and religious hypocrisy delivered via her unmistakable rasp, Trevi stunned the nation with her reinvention of what a pop star looks like. While she became a celebrated and much-needed voice for Mexican feminists everywhere, she also endured what is perhaps the biggest scandal of the music industry during the late ‘90s. Rising from the ashes like a phoenix, this superstar came back fiercer than ever in the mid ‘00s. As remarkably complex as she is, Trevi can be whatever she pleases: A theatrical femme fatale, or a soul-baring and passionate singer. But one thing that is certain throughout is that she is a one-of-a-kind creator.

    I had the best place in her concert, literally only about 2 feet away from her! Her performance was over the top, much more than what I expected! She sang her old songs and didnt miss any of her recent top hits. She Interacted very well with the audience. It was amazing to see how emotional she got when we all started yelling her name. The band was awesome too.. I wish it would have lasted just a bit longer cus 2.5 hours wasn't enough of GLORIA TREVI! I absoulutely admire her. Will definitely go see another of her shows when she's back in the L.A. area!

    She was fulled of energy from the minute she stepped in the stage to the final goodbye to Los Angeles. She brought to us memorable songs from the beginning of her career as well as smash hits from her latest album. I haven't had so much fun this year. Thanks Gloria! En Los Angeles te ADORAMOS!

    Gloria Trevi was the bomb she rock the building with her espectacular performance. Who was there they know what im talking about she has alot of talent . I loved her show and all the songs she sang. she is a very down to earth performer love her.

    I love the experience, I had a great time with my friends. loved all the songs she sang, she is fabulous. the only thing would be it didn't start at 9 like it said it would be whowever when the show started it was great. Overall she is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I highly recommed going to a Gloria Trevi concert. I wish that it started on time rather than 1 1/2 hours later. Besides the time issue, she looked spectacular, was full of energy and is an amazing dancer.

    This has been by far the best concert I have gone to by Gloria Trevi. I have seen her 3 times and this has been the best concert ever because it was more intimate! I could see her and enjoy her music a lot better!!!!!

    The event was great! The staff at House of Blues did a wonderful job, keeping everything going smooth, lines, crowds, parking.....and the drinks were fabulous. Gloria was as always, very energetic and she looked beautiful. She had the audience going at all times. GOOD JOB!!

    The concert was good but she went on stage an hour and a half after the posted time!! I personally would go watch her again but only if I had seating--GA was not too much fun.

    She was great. A lot of enthusiasm. I am glad she did not take any breaks throughout her concert. It is unfortunate the sound wasn't very good. I was by the back bar and her voice wasn't coming very clear. In fact, I could hear the people beside me singing more than i could hear her. The DJs sound system was more audible than her. Overall reating is a 3 because of the sound system at the HOB.

    Gloria was great, good selection of songs, great attitud and down to earth person the only thing I did not like was the fact that the doors opens at 7 PM and the show started at 9 PM 2 hours standing is to long, door should open an hour before not 2 hours!!!!!!!!!
