Global Dance Festival Tickets

The Global Dance Festival isn't just the largest annual summer music event in the Rocky Mountain region — it's two days of utter EDM immersion in an environment tailor-made to support every vibe, pulse and drop served up by a diverse array of performers. While superstar producers and DJs like Deadmau5, Zedd and Tiësto are known to top the bill at the Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, the five stages generally cater to different sounds, from bass blowouts to thumping house to alternative strains. Meanwhile, the other senses are stimulated via state-of-the-art stagecraft, roving circus performers, huge art installations, actual carnival rides and a food truck marketplace. Oh, and don't forget the silent disco, where revelers don headphones and pick one of three live-DJed channels to dance to. In 2019, the Global Dance Festival featured performances by rave regulars like Kaskade, ZHU, Galantis and Diplo, alongside revered old-schoolers like Green Velvet and buzzing newcomers like Black Caviar.

Global Dance Festival Background

The Global Dance Festival was born at Red Rocks in 2002 from the ashes of a beloved, but much smaller, event called Rave on the Rocks. Nestled within that eerie but beautiful natural setting, GDF was a glorious contrast of neon lasers and digital noise — a true destination for dance fans — and the festival helped earn Denver a respectable place within the EDM scene. All of that paved the way for a move in 2017 to Mile High, which sits at 5,280 feet above sea level and feels nearly as wide. The bigger venue allowed organizers to turn the Global Dance Festival into one massive playground for more costume-clad fans than ever before, with more performers, too. While they've experimented with hosting live bands like Empire of the Sun and rap acts like Gucci Mane, this weekender's strength is right there in the name: pulling together the best DJs and producers from across the wide world of electronic dance music.

    Overall positive, recommended experience

by Guidissimo on 7/26/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Better than Decadence NYE, VIP should offer more than a place to sit and a lanyard. Parking is ok but seems like it could be improved. Great artists, good variety. It'd be nice if there was something non alcoholic to drink besides Red Bull and water. Water stations are provided though, so that's a huge plus. Recent transplants and people not used to the elevation might want to party with a little more moderation. Overall good, recommended. More inclusive than not, although there is a little super fan gatekeeping at times. While it is all ages I wouldn't recommend bringing your kids. Really, just consider it 18+ and make it easy on everyone else.

    About what you would expect

by DanceTeam6 on 7/21/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Great venue, great artists, it’s a well done summer festival. I wish it was later since the summer is so hot. There is nothing to make this festival stand out from the crowd but it’s always a good time.

Could be better, could be worse…

by Lfkizzy on 7/20/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

I’ll start out by saying that Global Dance has always been (and hopefully will continue to be) a great summer festival that’s all inclusive. However, I’ve noticed a lack of production values in the last couple of years. The sound has never been the best which isn’t surprising because of the tight outdoor/tent festival setup, one would hope to make up for this with a substantial visual experience, but, only the main stage has a screen that’s really equipped to do any kind of real visuals. Not only this but the light/laser show leaves much to be desired when compared to basically any other summer festival. Can you imagine Excision with little to no lasers? I didn’t have to imagine it, I experienced it! As far as logistics go, I can’t seem to figure out why there are so few alcohol vendors for the size of the festival, the lines at every vendor were 30+ minutes which is a drag since the sets are only an hour long. On top of this I was not able to buy two drinks of full strength since I was waiting in line by myself why my friend held our spot in the crowd… another 30+ minute wait I suppose! Global Dance, I really do love you and so do all of your Denver fans, but please, please, please give us the summer festival we deserve! I would pay 30-50% more on tickets to have better lineups, better visuals, and more vendors without a doubt. Decadence is always on point, let’s do it in the summer too!!

    5 Stars

by Taylor on 7/20/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Great venue for an event like this - ticketing/entry process felt very streamlined, and the sound quality was absolutely amazing!! Only recommendation would be additional bars, as these were the only painful lines experienced throughout the entire venue.

Really awesome. There was no water available to drink.

by MAlz69 on 7/20/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

We could use taco trucks or more food stands or stations that provide water.

    Global year 3

by Consbruck1 on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

I love Global, but it felt over crowded this year especially at main stage. I’ve been to plenty of festivals and I never have felt so smothered and squished. I also realized there wasn’t as many vendors as last year! So that would be nice to add. The line up was amazing both days. Always a good time.

    It was good

by Jay on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

It was a great festival but for the price I definitely felt like it was lacking I’ve been to less expensive 3 day festivals with more perks like wristbands and better photo op areas global needs a clear theme.

by O. O. on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Had a phenomenal time! Enjoyed grassy areas to rest; never had to wait for bathroom; line for water was always manageable; shade available. Overall 10/10 experience.

    Amazing!!

by ExpertStruggle on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

The Northern Lights tent and the main stage were my favorite. I'm happy I went Saturday instead of Friday. Fridays tend to be chill vibes music which I dislike, but Saturday was hard and loud and one of the best experiences I've had! Will definitely go again I wish this was every weekend.

    First global

by Kbrown on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

I loved it, first festival in a while. Got VIP expecting to have the closer section with the space of being at the back of the crowd but I feel like VIP got way oversold. Felt like I was in the front few rows at a rail when at the back of VIP

    Good fun not enough grass

by B on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Needed more seating better mapping missed 2 key artists but it was a blast I had vip and I needed more places. Almost didn't make it to pee a couple times. Unless you stayed put away from stages at VIP you were kinda lost and the lady at the front who thinks she's cool for yelling at everyone playing butch momma isn't funny. We're not kids and we don't care if she's a mom

    Total money pit

by Rw on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

I guess the good problem was day one had too many good headliners on at the same time. The bad was the excessive prices for food and drinks. This was by far the most expensive event I've been to and I'm at different events about every week.

    Holy freaking wow!

by Jgco on 7/19/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Outdid yourselves this year finally! Tender bar was a perfect addition! I never waited in line for a drink ... I just wish they would have had energy beverages available either their or at a similar kiosk. I don't recall there being food trucks before so this was a easant surprise! ... Although I wasnt VIP I loved that there was separate VIP area at the front of the main stage etc. That's one reason I never went vip before as it seemed there was not any true perks unlike this year so keep that rolling and improving for future events!

60 minute back to back sets is not enough time to see

by Digib on 7/18/22Empower Field At Mile High - Denver

Back to back sets way too short left a lot to be desired
