Global Dance Festival Tickets

The Global Dance Festival isn't just the largest annual summer music event in the Rocky Mountain region — it's two days of utter EDM immersion in an environment tailor-made to support every vibe, pulse and drop served up by a diverse array of performers. While superstar producers and DJs like Deadmau5, Zedd and Tiësto are known to top the bill at the Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, the five stages generally cater to different sounds, from bass blowouts to thumping house to alternative strains. Meanwhile, the other senses are stimulated via state-of-the-art stagecraft, roving circus performers, huge art installations, actual carnival rides and a food truck marketplace. Oh, and don't forget the silent disco, where revelers don headphones and pick one of three live-DJed channels to dance to. In 2019, the Global Dance Festival featured performances by rave regulars like Kaskade, ZHU, Galantis and Diplo, alongside revered old-schoolers like Green Velvet and buzzing newcomers like Black Caviar.

Global Dance Festival Background

The Global Dance Festival was born at Red Rocks in 2002 from the ashes of a beloved, but much smaller, event called Rave on the Rocks. Nestled within that eerie but beautiful natural setting, GDF was a glorious contrast of neon lasers and digital noise — a true destination for dance fans — and the festival helped earn Denver a respectable place within the EDM scene. All of that paved the way for a move in 2017 to Mile High, which sits at 5,280 feet above sea level and feels nearly as wide. The bigger venue allowed organizers to turn the Global Dance Festival into one massive playground for more costume-clad fans than ever before, with more performers, too. While they've experimented with hosting live bands like Empire of the Sun and rap acts like Gucci Mane, this weekender's strength is right there in the name: pulling together the best DJs and producers from across the wide world of electronic dance music.

    Incredible experience

    by Babs on 7/25/23

I had so much fun!! There were an impressive amount of food trucks you can choose to eat from. Plenty of porta potty’s and water stations to refill. Very thankful we could bring in a Camelback! Artists were phenomenal and overall great vibes everywhere

    Lacking

    by Phoenix on 7/25/23

The event now ends at 11 PM. It used to be midnight, and before that 2 AM. The event starts at 3 PM but if you’re coming from out of town, hotel check-in isn’t until 3PM so you’re going to miss the first part of the event. This was global dance festival‘s 20th anniversary, and they really didn’t do anything above and beyond from any of the previous years. They actually did considerably less in my opinion. I fear that this year was a chance for them to set the tone for the future of this festival, and if it’s any indication, I would say that it’s going downhill, unfortunately.

Not as good as I remember

    by Fv on 7/25/23

Zed night 2 was amazing but the rest of the day was bleh. So extremely over priced for drinks and there was only 1 ride. There were also hardly any trash cans which made it easier for people to throw trash on the ground

    Lineup was not good

    by Denvaa on 7/25/23

For the money the lineup this year was not it. Denver is supposed the be the biggest city for edm and this is the worst lineup for any festival in the USA this season. Just straight disappointing

Fun in the sun, VIP not so VIP

    by Jonny Rosebushes on 7/25/23

Always love going to Global Dance Festival, 20th anniversary line up was the best ever! Decided to splurge and get VIP this year which unfortunately i found lack luster the designated area at summit stage was probably packed worse than GA and although having AC in the bathrooms was cool at first they ended up breaking and the bathroom was as good as a porta potty by the end of the day. I suggest more bathrooms with maybe periodic cleaning and more amenities and shade for VIP and it would make a whole lot of difference! Excited to go back next year as i have for the last 3 years!

    Well worth the price

    by Michael on 7/25/23

I like Global. I think it’s set up well and provides a local festival experience to Denver. I like the stage set ups with certain genres at each. What I did find could be improved was the air flow through the stage tents. It gets hot in those things and there are no fans nor cut slits in the tents to allow airflow. We were lucky the weather was nice but had it been 100 degrees it would have been rough.

    Smaller and smaller every year

    by Meh on 7/25/23

Small venue. Not enough artists that are known. Expensive. No rides. Terrible.

    Global Dance plus and minus

    by Mrsstrieby on 7/25/23

This was my husband and I's first experience at a 2 day festival. It was our 15 year wedding celebration and we had high hopes. The positive things about the event were: there were great performances, it seemed well organized and there were a lot of vendors. The event coordinators went to great lengths to insure the safety of attendees as well. The negatives were: there was a lot of walking involved, no way to really get out of the elements, it didn't have the "plur"feeling everyone was so big on telling us about with an event. When one of the artists was having issues after an issue with the weather, people were complaining and carrying on instead of being patient and loving. I saw and heard more negative comments than positive ones.

    Not worth it

    by Jay on 7/25/23

For the amount of the tickets it was not worth it . Shutting down for the one person we came to see because the clouds came in, over all wish I saved my money and time

    Good could be better

    by BDB on 7/24/23

Fun time besides getting your phone stolen by some useless slime ball trash keep your stuff close losers with nothing better to do but steal stuff all day walking around and Argus staff apparently sees non of that more worried about lightning storms than my security seemed like

    Fun but room for improvement

    by Disappointed Raver on 7/24/23

The event itself was okay and what you expect from an EDM festival. There was a fantastic selection of food trucks and drinks. Quite a few interesting artists were brought in, like Bear Grillz and Alan Walker. But, for a 20th Anniversary event, this sure didn’t feel up to par. At multiple times during the Alan Walker set, audio cut out completely leaving the crowd wondering what the heck was going on. The visuals and lighting were interesting but reminded me of an event that was in its’ infancy, not a 20th Anniversary. Water was sold out at the major bars early in the night, which was odd considering how many people they knew signed up for the event and their experience hosting in the past. Bass was also so loud that you couldn’t hear the rest of the music, leaving me standing there, just listening to low frequencies, wondering where the high frequencies went. Overall, felt amateur and inexperienced. Was not worth the money and I left disappointed by the event.

    I love festivals but..

    by Jay on 7/24/23

The whole thing was a waste of money they false advertised about rides and then they had us in the stadium for an hour packed in with everyone because of a storm and we missed our DJs time slot and they just left . There was too many fights and I tried to get my money back and there was no chance at all .

    Worst Global ever

    by Lil Flow on 7/24/23

1st time going to Global. It was yet the worst one so far, there was no effort whatsoever for anything that there, the rides were terrible might as well not put any rides, at the end when the “storm” was happening they stopped the show and one of the Djs and he never had a chance to play. It was just the worst experience.

    Underwhelming

by Best in the West on 7/24/23

After paying $100 for a ticket and believing that the festival was going to be in Empire Field. The “Empire Field” was technically in the parking lot and tailgating area outside of it. The announcement about playing through any type of weather did not happen, and so I missed one of my favorite artist playing. Deorro. Would have appreciated more food options. It looks like there was a monopoly for one food group to come in and sell food. I’m glad I came on the 20th anniversary date. I will not be coming again.

    MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FESTIVAL

    by Hails.b on 6/19/23

This is literally my most favorite festival that comes to Denver, artists never disappoint, multiple water refill stations throughout the festival (can bring in empty water bottles to fill as well),multiple tents with several types of EDM depending on what you like, better than any festival I’ve been to in the past years, better than decadence NYE by far. I love that it’s outside because you have space to breathe and grass to sit In. Overall it’s just an amazing experience
