About

Glee Live! In Concert! brings the magic of the acclaimed television show Glee to audiences across the country, with members of the cast performing its celebrated covers live. Initially conceived as a small promotional stretch in Hot Topics stores throughout the US to plug the series’ soundtrack in the fall of 2009, the 2010 North American tour played 10 shows to thousands of ticket buyers in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Phoenix at the end of Glee’s first season, generating buzz and praise from fans and critics alike in the wake of the massive success of the show. After the conclusion of the show’s second season, the following 2011 tour sold nearly 500,000 tickets over 40 concerts in the US and UK. Some of the many talented performers that have graced the stage during Glee Live! include Dianna Agron as Quinn Fabray, Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel, Kevin McHale as Artie Abrams, Lea Michele as Rachel Berry, Heather Morris as Brittany Pierce, Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones, Naya Rivera as Santana Lopez, Mark Salling as Noah "Puck" Puckerman, Harry Shum Jr. as Mike Chang, Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina Cohen-Chang, and the late Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson. Some of their most popular covers, including Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and Barbara Streisand’s “Happy Days Are Here Again/Get Happy,” are sure to captivate audiences of both Gleeks and non-Gleeks.

I absolutely loved seeing the show live. Our seats were great and the music fantastic. They had phenomenal voices (especially Amber Riley, Leah Michelle and Darren Criss) and the dancing wasn't too embarrassing either. The only tasteless and might I add extremely awkward for a family event, song was Heather Morris's Britney Spears song. Other than that the show was brilliant and I loved every moment of it!

    Glee Live Rocked!

by supernaturalgirl on 8/22/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

Seeing glee in concert was great. I was a little confused at first because I didn't realize that they were supposed to be in character the entire time. They had great energy and gave it their all. I was impressed with their performance.

    Waste of money

by elphie1162 on 8/9/11The Palace of Auburn Hills - Detroit

What a disappointment. We have loved the show from the beginning so I took my 15 yr old daughter to see the show when it was in Detroit. We both could not believe how bad it was. The singing was ok...but walking around the stage does not count as performing. And why exactly was Lauren there...she did nothing except stand on stage. And Chord Overstreet might as well not come either since he didn't do anything...and Dianna didn't even show up. The only bright spot was Darren Criss...the guy can sing and dance. We go to alot of shows and have seen Lea Michele on broadway...she is WAY overrated, she had a very hard time with all the songs. Oh, and the so called opening act... a dance troop...really...for 110/ticket they should be ashamed of themselves. But then most of them are on their way out so they had to cash in while they can. And to top it off they sang for 70 minutes...I wish I'd saved my money and watched the movie.

    GLEE!!!!!!!!!

by ALH009 on 8/5/11Rosemont events center - Chicago

My friend and I are major music, dance, and performance fans and yes; Gleeks! The 9 hour drive to Chicago and the $130 tickets were well worth it--we will never miss glee live again. The vocals were amazing; they sounded as good as they do on CD which is often not the case at concerts. It can be disappointing to go to a concert and the artist sounds out of pitch, or simply not trying as hard as on CD, but Glee sounded amazing. It was really neat that they had a second, smaller stage that was farther out in the audience so we could see several acts up close, and they would walk through the audience to get to the main stage! My only complaint (which I have seen in a lot of other reviews so I know I'm not alone in this) it was too short. I have been to many rock concerts that last 3 hours (I saw Elton John two times and he was by himself and his concert was about 2 1/2 hours). The Glee artists get many breaks since they do not all sing every number, so I expected it to be much, much longer it was only 1 hour and 20 minutes :( However, I am already anticipating their 2012 tour :)

    glee was so much fun

by jessie84 on 7/30/11Nassau Colisuem - Long Island

I wish that it had been a little longer but otherwise it was a great show. I was amazed by the mix of the crowd and although I went alone it was still amazing. They sang a lot of the hits and when the Wobblers came out everyone was super excited. I was hoping that Jonathan Groff, Matthew Morrison, or some of the other specail guests came but I was just being greedy lol. If it were up to me the concert would've been like 5 hours long lol!!!!!!!! Either way I am super excited to have gone and had the live GLee experience.

    Glee Live

by DuranDreamin on 7/25/11Verizon Center - Washington

our seats were partial blocked view so that was not the greatest, but the show REALLY ROCKED!!! the LXD dancers that opened were TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Myself and the three 11 year olds with me absolutely LOVED this show! The whole section infront of us was about empty so the usher let us move up about 10 rows to better seats. That was really cool.

Wish I could've gone to every single show!

by ahainjay on 7/23/11TD Garden - Boston

Best summer concert I've been to in quite some time. The set moved along kind of quickly and there wasn't as much audience interaction with the cast as I would have hoped, but considering the sheer number of songs they performed with costume changes and whatnot, it was still amazing! Totally worth it! And I absolutely love Darren Criss so it was great to see him incorporated into the New Directions' numbers!

Probably my favorite show yet, after The Killers of course. So glad I wasn't the oldest person there, let alone the only male!

all in all the concert was amazing! I still cannot believe that Gwenyth Paltrow and the Warblers performed! Everyone was amazing, but I am very disappointed that it took so long to start and ended so soon. We paid so much for tickets and the show itself was only an hour and half long. They could have easily made it longer.

    Could've done more songs...

by Jessiduh on 7/16/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

the concert performance was great, but really short. Most concerts i go to are at least 2 hours long, this one barely made 1 hour and 20 minutes. I felt that there were a lot of songs that couldve been added (Fleetwood Mac Rumors episode) and even from "blame it on the alcohol" episode. Would i go again?yes. But dont have a high expectation.

The concert was great! So many members of the cast were there and Gywneth Paltrow performed too. I can't wait to go to the show again next summer if they are on tour.

    GLEE LIVE WAS OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!

by VeroGleekster47 on 7/12/11Valley View Casino Center formerly San Diego Sports Arena - San Diego

It was a great show! I loved how they used the second stage in the back area so my mother and I could see them better from our seats. It's definite a concert I won't forget!

    Gleeful

by justjoy on 7/8/11The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn Hills

There is a lot of talent within this cast. I esp felt like a teenager all over again when I saw and heard Darren Criss perform. I absolutely melted. The only drawback was that the concert wasn't long enough. Also, it would have been an added bonus if Matthew Morrison and Gwyneth Paltrow had been there and did at least a couple of numbers. "Singing In the Rain/Umbrella" would have been a great finale. Overall, I definitely enjoyed.

    Very entertaining!

by Pippa925 on 7/8/11Nassau Coliseum - Long Island

Glee was a totally enjoyable experience. Seeing our tv characters up close & personal (not literally) was exciting. Each and every actor/singer has an amazing voice. Regretfully, the arena (Nassau Coliseum) is in extremely poor condition and is in need of a total makeover. There aren't any banisters leading to the seats & there was limited lighting. The floor seats are only good if you are right behind the stage....should anyone stand up the people behind them cannot see anything. The band was situated right in front of the seats which blocked the stage. Additional ladies rooms would help as well.

Glee cast was on the money

by Gleefan204456 on 7/2/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

Concert was terrific. The cast was all there except Mr. Schu (even the warblers and Sue). The great thing about this type of concert is the cast all earned their roles by being able to sing and/or dance so no propped up hacks on stage. My only complaint is about the crummy meadowlands parking. For an eye-popping $25 you would think it would be a good experience but they only had a measly 2 toll lanes going in with a bunch of other unstaffed toll booths which yielded a nice 30 minute wait. Then getting out was worse. Instead of letting you just go back through all those toll lanes they funneled thousands of cars through one puny entrance with tons of cross traffic. It took an hour to bleed out of there. I hope governor Christie sets his sights on this mess next. Recommend the event just not at the Meadowlands.
