About

GLASS ANIMALS IN CONCERT:

UK psych pop outfit Glass Animals stepped through the proverbial looking glass to arrive at their unique sound, and the result is a hallucinatory blend of indie rock, trip hop, and electronica. The quartet's singular music is at its most potent in concert, where their slick beats and lush vocal harmonies take on new sonic dimension with the addition of live drums and guitar. Whether they're treating fans to the lilting beauty of "Gooey" or the percussive pulse of "Pools", Glass Animals always mesmerizes fans with their spellbinding compositions, psychedelic visuals, and captivating stage presence on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The lads of Oxford, England's Glass Animals have been friends since the age of 14, but they didn't start making music together until after high school. They made their debut in 2012 with the Leaflings EP, an auspicious record that hinted at the envelope-pushing psych pop sound they've become known for. In 2013 they caught the eye of legendary producer Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence and the Machine), who quickly signed them to his Wolf Tone label after attending one of their London shows. Their first outing under the direction of Epworth was a self-titled 2013 EP that further established their distinct sound and landed them on tour with fellow pop visionary St. Vincent. After a string of buzzworthy performances on the road, the band released their highly anticipated debut full-length Zaba to considerable critical acclaim. A rising new act with a forward-looking sound, Glass Animals continue to enthrall ticket buyers on their unforgettable tours.

One of the best nights ever!

by Kay on 7/31/22Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

Absolutely amazing! The venue was spectacular, as was the band. The energy is so electric! Everyone was singing and dancing, I even cried a bit! Would absolutely see them again. Very much worth what I paid.

    Amazing!!

by Stevozshop on 7/31/22Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

Had a really good time at the show. Can't complain at all except the one... At least she had fun, that's all that matters

Did not follow Health Check guidelines

by Katie on 7/31/22Ascend Amphitheater - Nashville

My only complaint is that the concert required Covid vaccine documentation or a negative covid result, but no one even checked our documentation. I specifically had my children tested which took time and money and it was not even needed! Very disappointed.

    Best visuals ever

Appreciated the ability to rent chairs at the venue for the lawn, clean bathroom, and the concert was one of the best i’ve ever been to

Glass animals show was good. Stood to the left (looking at the stage) in the lawn right next to the stairs by the vendors. The sound quality was not very good. Could’ve been a lot louder. Singer sounded muffled.

    Glass Animals at Freeman Coliseum

by Cde on 6/21/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

Glass Animals put on a fantastic show! However, the venue was not ideal. The sound wasn't that clear, there was an echo throughout the venue, only one entrance was open so people had to wait in line to get in with no shade, and once the show was over security closed off all bathrooms except one. I underatand this was an attempt to usher people out one exit but it created long lines for both male and female restrooms. The staff was working on cleaning the restrooms to shut down the venue which also slowed down the lines of people waiting to use the facilities. Once outisde, no one could tell us where to pick up an Uber or Lyft. It's highly unlikely I will ever attend a concert here again.

    Needed a better venue?

    by A. W. on 6/9/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

I love Glass Animals and I was so excited to see them. I had missed their previous stops on this tour before they added more dates, so this was a dream come true! However, from where we were sitting in section 127 of the Freeman Colosseum in San Antonio, the audio sounded way off. It was hard to understand what they were saying, and most of what we heard was the thud of the drums/bass. Such a disappointment! A friend of mine who was there too but on the floor had a much better time.

Took my daughters to see GLASS ANIMALS

by Lady C on 6/9/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

I was not familiar with their music. I listened to some of their hits on the way to the concert (we traveled 150 miles to see them) and turned out I loved every one of their hits. Watching them perform was incredible! I am so glad I agreed to take my daughter sit see them. I needed you having such an enjoyable time.

    Great band, bad venue

by Syl on 6/9/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

I loved the show I went to see, Glass Animals and Mob Rich. However, the venue was terrible. It was hot, the signs to our section were confusing (we sat in the wrong seats at first), and the sound was a bit off. I really disliked the beverage selection, and the fact they had to pour each drink - even water - in a plastic or paper cup. The lines got really backed up because of the amount of time this took. As a germaphobe I disliked that there were no lids or any protection for my drink, I would much rather have kept them in the can/bottle. Positives are: The ushers were great- so friendly! One guy went out of his way to make sure a handicapped woman who initially sat near me got much better seats, once he saw they were unoccupied. That was sweet! Also I liked how small the venue is- the intimacy. I just really really hated the drink issue and that's enough to make me hesitate to buy tickets there in the future.

    GA Rock!

by VBake on 6/8/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

Glass Animals were great, the lack of 5 stars wasn’t all about them. The sound was lacking. In a video it was ok, but in person, just wasn’t clear. I wish the stage would’ve been closer to seats, there was a lot of empty space on the floor, and floor seating and stage were farther away.

    Very epic

by Evan on 6/8/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

I liked when they put a pineapple on the stage and everyone screamed. That was very funny. The lights and stage settings that accompanied the music was very cool too. Overall, great experience, and the encore was even greater. There should be more pineapples next time.

    Pretty awesome!

by Grumpy on 6/8/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

Glass Animals is awesome. Although all Glass Animals' songs are amazing, the set had a good mix of old and new. Let's not forget to mention that Dave has high energy throughout the show; dance moves to remember! I love that there was not an opening band.

    AMAZING!!!!

by Sandy on 4/18/22The Anthem - Washington

Gotta say that traveling to D.C. because our Montreal concert was cancelled was the best decision EVER!!! The show and setlist were amazing, and this band has such a great energy on stage. They really love what they're doing and it shows. The venue was awesome too: fast coatcheck via text, free water glasses for the crowd, nice security guards; 10 on 10!
