Gin Blossoms sounded great, however I think that paying what I did for tickets to see them play for an hour and 15 minutes, then leave the stage and come back to do one encore song was a ripoff. There was no opening act. What is it with these bands nowadays thinking that people should pay a lot of money to see them play less than 1.5 hours without an opener. This is the third concert that I have seen recently that has done this. I am about ready to stop spending my hard earned money for less than 1.5 hours of entertainment!
Had the pleasure of seeing one of my favorite bands at the MGM Casino in Northfield, OH. The venue was amazing and comfortable. The show was spectacular, especially the lighting! My only disappointment was that the VIP package did not include a pre-show with the band as in previous VIP packages I have experienced. The ticket master experience was so easy and seamless. 10/10 would do it again!
Gin Blossoms rocked the house. Glad to see they still can!
The venue is a problem. Not enough bathrooms is an understatement and the sound is always too loud. We left when Primus played the Wellmont because it was too loud and the sound was all muddled. We had the same problem this time. I want to love this venue because it’s in a great location and is beautiful but it just isn’t working out. The bands were great though! Lots of energy and from what I could hear they sounded great.
The show was awesome. Band can still sing and play. Lighting guy terrible.
Show was good. Loved the artists. However, it seemed like the venue oversold GA tix - there was no more room and additional guests were standing on stairs, when security asked them to move, it was like trying to shove another potato on a full sack. It was a sold out show, but it seemed like too many GA sold and it became distracting as we were sitting right by the stairs. We had premium seats- great view until the folks in front of us sat down. Seats were not staggered so you could see between the people in front. I still had a pretty good view, but only by leaning slightly to the right. Seats were also just fabric chairs but couldn't move so I was half sitting on my partner at times because of my wide hips and inability to give myself more room on the end. Thank God I was sitting with someone I knew or I'd be hip to hip with a stranger. The only other issue was sound quality. Gin Blossoms specifically had feedback many times during their set. As professionals they kept going but it didn't seem like production or stage crew did anything to remedy the source of the feedback. Both sets the vocals were a little low and could be improved.
Great show and great venue. Sold out show and both bands were fantastic.
I’m sure the Gin Blossoms were good but the volume was so high on the music and too low on the vocals it was hard to listen to. I spent most of the show outside and went in for the last few songs and skipped the encore (which was a cover). Kind of disappointing. Saw them in Huntington last year and enjoyed it a lot. Not sure if it was the venue or the band.
Gin blossoms always put on an amazing show. They’re such a pleasure to watch and I enjoy hearing all the songs I loved in my younger days. I love watching this fantastic band every year. They bring the biggest smile to my face!
