Newsted stole the show! Metallica lost a big part of their energy live when he left the band. I usually don't like screaming vocals but he can pull it off. Device was horrible. The fake bass made it impossible for me to listen to. I didn't really care for HellYeah. Black Label and Megadeth were very good. Megadeth did a Thin Lizzy Cover of "Cold Sweat"
Best live show I've ever seen. Black label society's was unbelievable, megadeth was awesome and hellyeah put on a great show.
Mighty MEGADETH headlining the tour is praise enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With bands handpicked by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, this tour has been pure Metal Mayhem!!!!!!!! With a few treats for us fans this tour is one not to be missed!!!!!! If you are thinking of going to one of these shows before the tour is over with YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! Death Division-a great newcoming band that starts the show off right!!!! Newsted shouldn't need any introduction but he is working his ass off to put on a great show for you!!!! Hellyeah another great band to see live!!!!!! Device and also Black Label Society kill it!!!!! This tour has been well put together-SEE THIS SHOW IF YOU GET THE CHANCE!!!!!!
Show was great. Best line up ever. Still have not received pictures from the black label society meet greet.
Overall was a pretty cool venue. The sound guys servely need to make much better adjustments. High end sound would pierce your ears! Needed earplugs to be bearable. But then that takes away from the music.
Hellyeah was really good, Black Label Society was great, and Megadeth was unbelievably amazing.
Paid for a meet and greet with black label society. No one knew where we were to go. We were supposed to get early entry into the venue but were sent back outside to wait in a long line to get in to venue and go to the floor where meet and greet would be. Once we figured out where to go it was an awesome experience. We even got to meet all the other bands except megadeath. The first few bands sound wasnt very good but by black label they figured the sound out and megadeath sounded fantastic! Kudos to their sound guy. Oversll it was a great time. The security was also very friendly! Great venue!
All the bands sounded like crap except megadeath. Maybe that was Dave Mustaines idea.......the sound should of been better for the other bands.
Well, its been awhile since I attended a metal/hard rock show. I'm too old to be in the "pit" but maybe I am wrong about that. I like all the bands that performed but none are my lifetime favorite. The place was more than half empty, which myself and my friends were shocked to see. I think everyone could have fit onto the main floor. Our seats were stage left near the corner one section up. The monitors hung right into the line of sight of the bands. We moved a couple of seats over just to be able to see the stage. The sound was loud (like it should be) but where we were sitting the vocals lacked a bit. Each band played a short set and moved on. Many Megadeth and Hellyeah tunes we wanted to hear we didn't. I thought each band was done before they even got started. This concert felt like a live "mix tape". Ok, I'll stop now. I understand that each band isn't going to play 2 hours but Megadeth has a large catalog of work to choose from. If there's a "next time" I'll stick it out and buy tickets down close. I have a lower back problem and standing on cement for 6 hours didn't seem like a thing I wanted to do. But to watch Dave Mustaine and Zakk Wylde play together on stage from 6 feet aaway I'll deal with the pain. That's my two cents.
I was able to meet almost every member of the bands. Without paying for meet and greets. Death Division led as a powerful opener. Newsted powered up the crowd, HellYeah got the Pit going crazy. Device entranced the entire arena. Black Label Society gave everyone what they came for, and provided fans with memories. Then Megadeath closed the deal with a amazing closing performance. The venue provided the most excellent evening. Security made everyone feel safe.
Awesome show and lineup. It's about time us cellular coliseum started getting metal shows.
Megadeth was awesome! Other bands were just ehhhh.
David Draiman needs to know that if you do use a backing track bass aand your drummer can't keep time together the show has no bottom to the rhythm and never be rude to your audience
Cool overall show, from newsted to hell yeah to black label society to the closers megadeth. I can't wait for the next gigantour.
So Fun! Live. Metal. All. Day. The venue was oddly empty. Don't know why. The tickets are a fair price, and the bands totally rocked out. The main reason I went was to check out the new band NEWSTED. They were so good! But I must admit, Megadeth just gained a fan! woooo...loved it! BLS-always kicks A. Device...meh. Band was good, but I feel they should have a bass player, and the singer seemed pretty egotistical. He threatened some kid in the crowd, saying he was going to have him kicked out for flipping him off. LOL. really?
Had a blast at Gigantour! Megadeth and Black Label Society were worth the ticket alone. Newsted, Hellyeah, and Device were great additions to a day of Metal! Got to meet Jim Florentine of That Metal Show and talk music. It was a great day of Metal music at a great price.
it was just simply amazing. hands down. Death Division to Megadeth, they were all amazing acts, always had the crowd on their toes. Musicians were really interactive with the crowd <3
Megadeth was great as always. BLS tore it up. Newsted was a joy to witness had a great time . Just the merchant booth ran out of a shirt ( gigantour/ mt. Trashmore) I really wanted . But really Enjoyed it
I enjoyed the show with all of the bands except Hellyeah which was one of the bands I most wanted to see. I could barely hear or understand any of Chad's lyrics. His band definately over powered his voice. My most enjoyable acts were Device, Newstead and Black Label Society.
