Giant Rooks, founded in 2015 by two cousins and three friends in a rehearsal room in Hamm, is probably the most promising band Germany has had in a long time. Their accomplishments so far are impressive and multiple. Their monthly listeners on Spotify are in the millions, and they've brought venues from all over the world to maximum capacity, like House of Blues (San Diego), and stages in Rome to Paris to Manchester. In Germany, they play venues that other artists only play after 15 years of constant touring.
Between 2015 and 2019, the five-piece played more than 350 shows and established their reputation as an extraordinary live act. Last year they released their internationally acclaimed debut album "ROOKERY" and it entered the German charts at #3. The 12-song album, including the radio hits "Wild Stare" and "Watershed", is a powerful artistic statement that highlights the diverse and rich musical palette of the band. Their Kanye- esque hip hop beats, song structures drawn from the Bob Dylan archives, and soundscapes dripping with the seductive qualities of Bon Iver, all work together to create a modern and unique sound born out of their desire to not be pigeon-holed into one genre. They also released "Rookery Live Tapes" in June 2021, an EP full of beautifully stripped- down versions of songs from their debut album.
I’ve loved their music for a while and I knew the concert was going to be good, but they went above and beyond. So many times during their set I was speechless because they WERE SO GOOD. Words literally do not explain how good they were in concert and I’m counting down their next North America tour so that I can see them again!!

Giant Rooks is an amazing band. If given the opportunity to see them, take it. Awesome energy throughout the entire show. Their passion and dedication spreads throughout crowd. Truly one of the best concerts I’ve been to.

Went to the Milky Chance show and the Giant Rooks opened for them and i was super impressed with their showmanship on stage as well as the music performed. So when the opportunity came to see them again i couldn't miss that opportunity to see them again. They didn’t disappoint yet again and put on a fantastic show. I hope they become great as they are well deserving of that for their music as well as on stage talent. Great show absolutely a GREAT SHOW!

The staff was fun and kind, the opening act was amazing and had so much energy. Giant Rooks themselves were mind blowing. I know they are incredibly talented and their skills are fantastically encased in their music. Live they are unforgetable!
It was so moving and awesome and they really did a great job. I was mystified by the music and the setting and all out everything the whole experience was fantastic!

Venue was accomodating with open spaces for easy transit between areas. Security was top notch and personnel were very friendly. Stage area had nice visibility and both,opening act and headliner were amazing. Got to hear Yin.atl band for the first time and they were a pleasant surprise. Giant Rooks, I predict, will become a household name and the lucky ones will be able to catch they at these more intimate venues. I've seen concerts from established band like The Killers and ColdPlay, and this show has nothing to envy from those. They are that good.
I’ve seen them 5 times now in various venues and am always blown away by the stage presence and joy for music this group has. They seem so genuinely happy and grateful to be playing together and are even better live than on recordings!
My first ever concert by Giant Rooks, and it was amazing. The venue area was definitely sketchy but they were amazing. AMAZING stage presence, and made me so happy to be there. Hope they will come back!!
