GET THE LED OUT IN CONCERT:

Led Zeppelin's days of reunion touring may be over, but Get the Led Out's Zeppelin tribute show hits all the right notes for fans looking to reminisce over the iconic band's heyday. Handpicked by Jimmy Page himself to perform at one of his charity's fundraising events, Get the Led Out have the band's sound down to a tee, thrilling fans around the country with marathon sets of Zeppelin hits like "Whole Lotta Love" and "Stairway to Heaven." Fresh off a series of acclaimed 2013 shows, the band is sure to impress even the staunchest Zeppelin purists on their 2014 tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Get the Led Out formed out of a desire to acknowledge the influence the music of Led Zeppelin has had on all of the band's members. Eschewing the tribute band trend of visual mimicry, Get the Led Out instead focus on entirely recreating the great band's legendary sound, including extensive gear nerdery and use of period instruments like the theremin. Singer Paul Sinclair sounds remarkably like Robert Plant, and guitarist Paul Hammond does a mean Jimmy Page  — add the rest of the band and you've got an uncanny sonic resemblance that achieves the difficult task of passing muster with Zeppelin purists.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"The next best thing to seeing Led Zeppelin live - loved every minute of it and will definitely see them again."

"Just absolutely fantastic. They did play a lot of lesser known songs of Led Zep but played all the hits as well. The recreation of studio version of" Whole Lotta Love" using theremin was, in a word, fantastic."

"If you are a Led Zeppelin Fan, or just enjoy watching spectacular musicians perform some classic rock at its finest... You will never regret seeing this band . Always an incredible show."

To be able to hear these songs done so masterfully was simply wonderful. They totally rocked when required and then blew everyone away with acoustics and harmony. Can't wait to see them again!!!!

  • Awsome!

by VDUBYA on 11/17/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

Get The Led Out really did capture the essence of Led Zeppelin. The music sounded really good and if you close your eyes, you would have thought you were listening to Plant and Page. Although the crowd was small, everyone appeared to have had a great time. I would definately see their show again! The only reason why I didnt give them 5 stars was because I could have listenend to them for a couple more hours and I wish they would have played two of my favorites, D'yer Mak'er and Tangerine. Dont expect any lavish set up. All you get is the band, a smoke machine, and some fancy lighting....Plenty!

  • They Nail It!

by HugeCCRFan on 11/17/10Palace Theater - GreensburgRating: 4 out of 5

Get the Led Out captures the sound of Led Zeppelin extremely well. They obviously put a lot of time and effort into performing the songs as close to the studio versions of the Led Zeppelin classics as they can and they really nail it. A number of times I closed my eyes and just listened, it was truly remarkable. If you are a Led Zeppelin fan attending a Get the Led Out concert is an absolute must! You are simply not going to find anything closer to Led Zeppelin live than this unless the original band reunites, not very likely. Very well done and very enjoyable.

  • GTLO - Note for Note - impeccable

    by Doug1969 on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Close your eyes and you would have thought you were listening to the record itself. Uncanny and bravo to the boys in the band for pulling this incredible feat off! Wow. I doubt the original members could have duplicated in todays time?

  • Get the Led Out was outstanding!

    by beemer850 on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Most tribute bands can play the music, but this band was unbelievable. The real key to this band, however, is the lead singer. I saw Led Zeppelin in their prime, and Robert Plant was never as good in concert as the recordings were. The lead in this band was almost too good to be true. He was better than Robert Plant - Listening to him was like hearing the studio recordings except LIVE! I've been a working musician all my life, and I hate concerts that fall short of expectations. Trust me, this was as good as it gets!

  • GREAT

by WildTongue on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw Led Zeppelin on April 7, 1970 in Charlotte NC. I was 17. It was a great show. This band, The American Led Zeppelin has put together a great gig. They sound great and if you never saw Led Zeppelin then this show is fantastic, GO SEE IT. They are quite a tight band. Thanks for a great night!!

  • So realistic it was almost spooky!

by flux on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

The set list was as if they'd asked me to pick it for them. The lead vocalist sounded exactly like Robert Plant. Their goal is to recreate the songs as close as possible to the way they sound on the original albuns, and they are highly skilled in this regard. They had a total of 6 musicians so they were able to play all the parts that were overdubbed on the albums. They even brought out a femal vocalist for The Battle Of Evermore. It was incredible. Exceeded my wildest expectations.

  • Get the Led out was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

    by Zoo2keepr on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

I was a little leery of seing a "tribute" band, but I was blown away. The talent in the group was unbelievable. I would definetly recommend this to any Led Zeppelin fan. The drum solo was fantastic!

  • Greensboro NC got rocked by Get the Led Out !

by sekrph on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

one of the most incredible concert experiences I have ever had......a fantastic performance, could have closed your eyes and sworn you were at an actual Zep show....the vocals were eerily similar to Plant's, and the music itself was so exacting in detail....though there were several musicians, including sometimes 3 guitarists, that added to the depth and 'wall of sound' that the original Zep did.....scary good ! The acoustic songs were spot on as well, and the touch of using original effects and equipment from back in the day made this show monumental.... I would go ANYTIME these guys are near !

  • Get the Led Out is a must see!

by EevelMonkee on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

If you are a Zep fan you have to see this show. Next best thing to watching Plant and Page. An amazing show!

  • A little disappointed

by LehightonRocker on 11/15/10Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 2 out of 5

I don't usually comment on shows but when I came across these reviews i thought they sounded like the band members must have written them. Here's the real deal: The music was ok. The singer sounded nothing like Plant but wasn't a bad singer although he looked a bit strung out like a rocker a little past his day. The arrangements sounded pretty dead on but they really didn't sound like the album. I thought that Classic Albums covered the studio cuts much better and they struck me as real studio musicians where as these guys seem more like a 70's cover band playing Zep songs. It was my first time at Penn's Peak and i thought the place was pretty cool. All in all a decent cover band but The American Led Zeppelin? Come on guys, do you really think so?

  • GET THE LED OUT was totaly unforgettable

    by nerfme2 on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are fantastic. Close your eyes and you would think you were at a live Zeppelin concert. I have never heard anything like them before. Many have tired to imitate, but this group has hit the nail on the head.

  • AMERICAN LED ZEP was fantastic

    by RIDER72 on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

That show was amazing. Being a longtime Zep fan, being at this concert was like seeing LZ back in the late 60's. It was too bad that this concert wasn't promoted enough, so more people would have been there to appreciate the talents of these musicians. Hopefully they will back in the area soon.

  • Very good

    by Neisie66 on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

I love Led Zeppelin, and for the most part, this band sounded like them. They had their moments where some songs were not so good. Battle of Evermore, Going to California, and a few others were excellant! What I didn't like was that some songs were done slightly different than the original, I for one would have preferred it being just like the original. But all in all a good show.

  • Get the Led out is so awesome!!

by JBJM on 11/15/10Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Get The Led Out is one of the best shows I've ever been to! They sound just like you're listening to a Led Zeppelin album, they're the next best thing!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEEING THEM!!

  • GTLO Rocks!

by BlacksheepJD on 11/15/10The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. The band was tight and sounded great in the room. This band does a great job of reproducing the album versions of Led Zep songs that you know and love.
