With four No. 1 albums in just a few short years, Regional Mexico singer Gerardo Ortiz has ridden a tremendous wave of success to become the contemporary “king of corrido,” the style of narrative ballad popular in Norteño music. Ortiz’s blend of traditional and modern elements and his popularity among young Norteño fans led to a virtual sweep of the 2011 Billboard Mexican Music Awards, earning him six honors including New Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. With the 2012 release of El Primer Ministro, Ortiz once again topped the Latin Albums chart, adding to his collection of hits with accordion-laced ballads about love and loss like “Mañana Voy a Conquistarla” and “Solo Vine a Despedirme.” Ortiz rose to overnight success in 2010 with the release of his major label debut Ni Hoy Ni Mañana, which landed in the Top 5 of the Latin Albums chart and received a Grammy nomination for Best Norteño Album. Ortiz followed up with several chart-topping live albums and his second studio album Entre Dios y el Diablo, which peaked at No. 1 on the Latin Albums chart and included the hit single “Cara A La Muerte.” On tour in 2013, Ortiz has received rave review from ticket buyers for his rousing live concerts, leaving little doubt that a bright future awaits the young singer.
Concert was too short. It was set to start at 8pm and it didn't start till almost 8:30pm and it ended at 10:00pm. When it ended the crowd yelled for more Gerardo and he only came out for one more song. Despite being Gerardo's B-day it wasn't magical.
for him being el rey del corrido i would have thought this would have been a great show i was so disappointed and it was a total waste of money i was so upset i dont even know if i am a fan anymore
The show was great, the stage setup and lights were amazing. I was bummed however based on the dollar amount we paid on how short the concert was. I believe it was a total of 1:20 minutes. I got up to get a beer and restroom break and was bummed to be told by the usher the show was over. I'm not sure if it was due to the fight that broke out or what the deal was but it was waay short for my concert experience. While the show was going on, it was amazing. I would've also liked for someone to have opened up the show for him or if he'd bring somebody to sing with him for a duet, just to change things up. If you haven't seen him live i'd recommend it but I probably won't spend anymore money on expensive tickets for 1hour and 20mins.

From his corridos to his love songs, he is just simply amazing!! A bit short because I wanted more but great voice and I even took a picture with him!! <3
I did like the concert except for the fact that it was extremely short and he didnt sing a lot of the songs that made him famous. Dissapointed
He got down cant wait 2 see him again. Loved his outfits n cake

Tickets were expensive, the performance was the same nothing that made you go "WOW" it would of been better going to a club to see him and cheaper.
The guy is a good singer. But he was mostly singing half of the songs. He was more worried about changing his outfits. He did referred to all audience and thanked them for all the support. But he was only on stage for a little more than an hour. I expect to get my moneys worth and so far the only singer thats worth every penny is vicente fernandez. Plus security sucks at the end of the concert there were fights all over. In the restroom people doing drugs and even inside the theater i would be able to smell the weed ......
I loved his performance. I would go see him again. My seats were really good and was able to enjoy the night .
He gave a great performance!! I had never seen/heard him live with banda sinaloense and it was a very different experience!!
Waste of time and money.Ortiz started too late and finished very quickly.I am never paying so much money to see him again.
I had a good time Gerardo one of my favorite artists, but I just thought it was a little too short. Other than that I really had a good time and hope to return soon.
He could have sang for another hour or two... tooooooo short!!!
The concert was amazing!!! His voice is wonderful he doesn't have to force his voice so he can sing great!!! Next time I don't care if I got to pay $300 I will be on the first row!!! That's how amazing it was!!! Totally recommend it!!!
Everything was awesome except a overzealous staff member. We arrived early because I have been to this venue before and I wanted to buy some alcoholic beverages before we sat down. There were so many people and so many lines that I chose the one on the first floor all the way to the right. My fiancé and his friend stood in line to make the purchase while I used the restroom. This being my fiance's first concert he was very excited. Apparently he was too excited and "loud" for the staff member who was attending to him because she refused to sell him beer. She stated he was drunk because he was too loud. So I took my Id and I stood in line to buy my beer. She denied selling me even one beer because she said I was going to give it to him. She suggested for me to go to another attendant. I slide to the next attendant. I asked him if he would sell me beer. He looked me straight in the eye and said yes I will sell you a beer but I cannot sell you two because the previous lady denied him service. Thank you Ivan I believe his name was for being a reasonable person. While all this was going on a supervisor came out and tried to help the situation. She just made me more upset until I stated I was going to make a formal complaint online. Then she spoke to the lady on the side and stated "you see me talking to her" in a very rude and upsetting way. Yes the situation was made partially better because the supervisor did was she was suppose to do in the first place. But I still had to wait in another line to buy another beer making me miss the opening part of the concert. The second line I stood in went by twice as long. It's amazing how one bad experience trickles down and can ruin something you payed $140 a ticket for!
Great event. I think they did a great job getting everyone in and out. Bar was loaded with my favorite drinks. Lots of security with PD and like always the want to be cops (security). I would attend another Gerardo Ortiz event. Cheers!
GERARDO ORTIZ♥ Ive always been a Gerardo Ortiz since he was out on Youtube but actually seeing him do his thing changed my life♥i cryed simply amazing! I fell in love with him even more my bday was a month away and my mother gave me the present of going to see him a month early Im a diehard fan till the end!
I bought this tickets for a surprise gift for my boyfriend cause he is so in love with gerardo ortiz but wouldn't pay to see him again horrible singing come on Buitres did so much better than this so call main event guy that we were all waiting for... it was that bad that ppl started leaving before Ortiz finish his singing... Wouldn't waste my money again to buy tickets to go see him I rather buy my bf his cd were he sounds so much better than that night...
