With four No. 1 albums in just a few short years, Regional Mexico singer Gerardo Ortiz has ridden a tremendous wave of success to become the contemporary “king of corrido,” the style of narrative ballad popular in Norteño music. Ortiz’s blend of traditional and modern elements and his popularity among young Norteño fans led to a virtual sweep of the 2011 Billboard Mexican Music Awards, earning him six honors including New Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. With the 2012 release of El Primer Ministro, Ortiz once again topped the Latin Albums chart, adding to his collection of hits with accordion-laced ballads about love and loss like “Mañana Voy a Conquistarla” and “Solo Vine a Despedirme.” Ortiz rose to overnight success in 2010 with the release of his major label debut Ni Hoy Ni Mañana, which landed in the Top 5 of the Latin Albums chart and received a Grammy nomination for Best Norteño Album. Ortiz followed up with several chart-topping live albums and his second studio album Entre Dios y el Diablo, which peaked at No. 1 on the Latin Albums chart and included the hit single “Cara A La Muerte.” On tour in 2013, Ortiz has received rave review from ticket buyers for his rousing live concerts, leaving little doubt that a bright future awaits the young singer.

    I got there just before he open but it was a great concert we did a good show all the way throught the two hours he played. I wished he would of played at least til 11pm (he played 8:20 to 10:30). His an awesome singer that loves his public. I'm suprise he didn't say bad words...His a must see put on your list.

    Awesome concert loved it!!! The only thing it started late and ended fast. Was only about and hour and a half long.

    I LOVE HIM GREAT ENERGY . THE BEST CONCERT. I REALLY LIKED IT WISH HE WOULD HAVE SANG MORE. IT WAS A LITTLE SHORT.

    LOVED IT!!! The crowd was amazing... The show was great !!!!! The beer was quite pricy but we manage to enjoyed our self's good... Location is great as well as parking we had no trouble with that... My hubby was really satisfied with his early Bday gift.

    This concert was fine!... BUT!!! To short!!! Only one hour concert??? Two breaks??? Half hour each one??? Start at 8:30 and finish at 10:00 pm came on!!! You beter then that Gerardo!!!

    I must say I had a better time than I expected, I love his music and he definitely gave an unforgettable performance, the ambiance was great everyone was having a blast, I enjoyed the conjunto playing before the concert started, thought that was a nice touch. I definitely would go to another concert of his. Loved it!

    I expected more of the concert the drive was longer then the performance it's self I was upset that I was not able to purchase $250 tickets but afterwards I was relieved I dint, I've gone to other concerts and drfinantly had my money worth, plus he was at a local place after the concert, pretty upset if I would have gone to the club I would of probably gotten my money worth there than at the Nokia. By all I was a lil disappointed.

    GERARDO ORTIZ CONCERT WAS AMAZING!! HE SANG 30 SONGS, HE HAD HIS BROTHER PERFORM AND HIS COUSIN REGULO, ALONG WITH NOEL TORRES!! HE HYPED UP THE CROWD, I STOOD UP ALL NIGHT DANCING AND SINGING!! HIS GROUP- GRUPO ANTHRAX WAS AMAZING ALSO, THEY GOT SO INTO THE CONCERT, VERY GOOD SHOW!!
