    Gene ween was disappointing

by Xoxo123 on 8/14/17The Space at Westbury Theater - Westbury

They put the school of rock on for way too long I felt like I was being hijacked. One or two songs would have been nice and continue at the end if you chose to stay. Gene ween had trouble with the lighting and sound and we were not impressed. We would not recommend going to the show

    Fun for fans

    by StraightShooter5 on 8/11/17Birchmere - Alexandria

This was a good show. Lots of fun, enjoyable for fans of both Gene Ween and Billy Joel. The audience at this show was about half and half. Not necessarily a MUST-see for Gene Ween fans, unless you're trying to see everything he does, but definitely a fun show and worth the money. I'm glad I went.

Great night with 2 great bands!

by Imaspy on 10/4/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

I read somewhere a couple months ago that Geener was doing some type of mellow acoustic show. I'm very glad that did NOT happen. Geener's band was amazing amd it was a great walk through Ween as well as some great new stuff. Overall this was a very satisfying experience for any Ween fan. The opening band, TOK, is a local STL band that was a perfect match to Geener's band. They really got people ready to rock with hard driving music that demanded everyone take note of who they are. TOK should be on tour with Geener, that is how well it worked.

Good Show from Start to Finish

by Joey454 on 10/3/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

The nice thing about this show was that for $20.00 admission I got to see Gene Ween, but also found a new favorite local St. Louis band, Tok, who opened for Ween. The openers flat out rocked so that was a bonus. Entertainment money well spent. Ween played a long set, a mix of old and new, and the band was extremely tight. Just a good show from beginning to end.

    Viva la Gener

by Skizer on 3/21/11Brighton Music Hall - Boston

What a magical evening. Gene Ween is the Bob Dylan of our time, one of the best (if not the best) song craftsmen out there. Dave Dreiwitz is a total pro and nice to see him in in a chill atmosphere instead of straight ahead rock badass. These guys obviously have some chemistry from playing in Ween but i did not expect to witness what I did. It was a beautiful show and the perfect intimate venue for this paring. Overall, i would have to say this was one of the top 3 live musical experiences of my life. Buenos Tardes.....

    Gene Ween Rocked the Bluebird

by deadheadtattoolover on 11/16/10Bluebird Nightclub - Bloomington

This was an amazing experience to be able to have Gene Ween sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar. It was like an upbeat version of VH1 Story Tellers. Gene gave us some background on a lot of the songs he played, talked with the crowd a little. Not too much, but enough to make it feel intimate. This was a once in a lifetime experience for any Ween fan!!!!
