Excellent, uplifting show! No one should miss their next show.
Loved the whole evening. Only one suggestion. Someone should teach the half a dozen divas in the chorus that they are in a chorus, not doing a starring solo number. They need to stand still and not move around like they were the only person on stage. Remember Cassie in Chorus Line. She had to learn that she was part of an ensemble and not the star.
Excellent concert!!!! Singing, dancing, pianist, and orchestra were all wonderful!
A great Broadway show with a nice selection of more modern musicals. Excellent soloists, especially Jonathan Casanas and Jonathan Sanz. Tropical Wave was amazing for their gutsy selection of two Sondheim pieces which they knocked out of the park. As much as I like going to the Hard Rock for concerts, the chorus sounds 10x better in Wells Hall! Kudos to the sound engineers for balancing the vocal sections and the orchestra. The sound was full, and rich.
The Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida does not disappoint. The performance was filled with a good selection of music and humor. The set decoration was tasteful and helped set the mood. Guest performer Todrick Hall was a delight. I will be back next year.
The voices of the members of this chorus are nothing short of fabulous. The show was well thought out and extremely enjoyable. My only request for change is for the “holiday” extravaganza to include a song or two about Chanukah.
A fun, enjoyable professional experience in a great space.
I enjoyed the show but the song selection did not build on the theme. The dance troupe was annoying and really took the focus off the chorus and the incredible singing. The high energy moments were spectacular; but there were too many low energy songs, especially in the second act, whose lyrics could not be discerned.
Politically motivated, extremely childish, boring, and off tone. This concert is a reflection of whoever the uncreative director thinks he is. It looks to me like they should actually spend their money a little more wisely on leadership because this is a very poor product for a high price. If I did not have a friend to support, I would never imagine sitting through this.
Exceeded all of my expectations. Simply excellent!
The amazing production was a treat to see and hear. The transitions and costumes were wonderful, but the most important part - the singing - was even better.
This choral group, soloists, on stage performers and orchestra provided an evening of first class musical entertainment. They are quickly becoming a national phenom ! A must see ! Bravo 👏
One of the best LGBTQ+ choruses in the country. This group is a must-see when you come and visit South Florida.
It is always a pleasure to hear and see the GMCSF in concert. Through song they communicate the love and pride for the LGBTQ community and their work is on going. Soon they will celebrate their 15th anniversary and the chorus has grown from around 40 members to over 160 ! Never miss a chance to see this amazing and talented chorus. They never disappoint !
The talent, the balance of song, dance and nostalgia of Broadway was so enjoyable.
I attended opening night of The Prom on Saturday and was blown away. This story, presented by an amazing cast, and supported with scene changes that would rival a Broadway production, tells a story that will bring a tear to your eye and should be heard by all of our community in South Florida. A friend of mine who saw The Prom on Broadway in New York said that the Slow Burn production was even better than what he saw there. You will only be disappointed if you do NOT go and see this great production.
Great show! Can’t wait for the Pride show in June!
I loved all the songs we knew and could sing along with.
This concert was beautifully performed, it was the equivalent of seeing a top rated Broadway show! The solos were so moving and the whole experience was one of positivity, passion and excellence, I am so glad I was able to attend this concert and will attend anything the GMCSF creates.
I was astounded by the number of songs, all of which had to be memorized. Gabe was so impressive and professional. What I also loved were all the testimonials. It was a night to remember.
