Good game I had good time with my friends, I will go back any time
Really hyped up. The stadium prob seats 45-50k, I wouldn’t even say 10% was full. Expect to pay rip-off prices and buy rip-off drinks for a high-school style game. Won’t go back again.
We carefully booked accessible seats in order to take my 95 year old mother to the Gasparilla Bowl. She is mobile, just can’t walk long distances. We happily found the accessible entrance to drop her off. But we were told to get her out of the car long before we got to the stadium because the disabled parking lot was full. They said they would get us a cart to drive us to the entrance but they didn’t and we had to walk. Then we were directed up two escalators, which was one floor above our seats, requiring us to walk down a flight of stairs in the stadium. After the game, we found and exited down the accessible elevator and entrance on the same level as our seats that we should have been directed to with the wheelchair users. My mother was absolutely exhausted. We were told other entrances are available during Bucs games. Stadium renters like the Gasparilla Bowl MUST be told how to accommodate people with disabilities as the law requires.
Great tickets, great sests and good game. Highly recommend this venue and game again next year! Enjoy!
How does UF go from losing to Alamba only 2 points to getting whipped against UCF a non-power 5 team?
Some official said my standard-issue clear bag was too big to take in, but the concession lines were short and made the Swamp look like a bunch of amateurs. Besides the Gators losing, it was a great experience.
Overall a good experience. I have been to 3 other Bowl games in the last 6 years. Beautiful stadium, but the traffic surrounding the stadium to get to our parking lot was terrible. It should not take 30 minutes to go two blocks to park car. Good thing we gave ourselves plenty of time to get there so we wouldn't miss kick off. When we got into the stadium and to our seats, someone was already in them (seat had been removed, wheelchair row) I didn't realize our tickets were in the wheelchair aisle. The employees did a good job of relocating us with mostly comparable seats. If I had known about the issue/location with the seats I probably would have bought less expensive seats.
Well, the game was OK, not great. So many UF players & coaches not there. UCF looked good. The stadium is of the older style and lacks the people comforts and good food of newer venues. Still serviceable though.
From the bands before opening gate to final seconds absolutely a blast but be prepared if you want to have a great experience your gonna pay for it $12 for a 24oz. Beer $25 for a mixed drink $50 for a t-shirt at least the Gasparilla crew was giving away some free eats outside the game or you can just go 3 hours early and tailgate over all great time
I left the house an hour early and got to the area with an hour to go. Sat in gridlock traffic for an hour straight , barely any movement and people cutting off others left and right . Thankfully I maneuvered out of the lane and did some magic. Parked with 5 minutes to Gametime . The overall game was amazing . Great seating arrangements, great teams , ambiance was awesome . Food and beverages were solid . Result was also good .
I really enjoyed this game, hosted at Tampa Bay's stadium. Packed crowd, excellent and helpful staff able to direct my group, and the overall venue was very thrilling and fun to be in.
Had problems with ordering tickets for the game. And the fame itself was beautiful! The Knights has a story to tell. And so far it’s a good one…!!!
Clean stadium. Amenities were fantastic. Tickets were up top with God but escalators were working and eased that. Handicap parking put me less than 100 yards from gate. Clean efficient restrooms. Tampa has it going in right direction. Traffic sucked but to be expected
Everything went well except the long waits to get in.
They were not using all the metal detectors & had an enormous crowd waiting to get through, then they had another crowd waiting to have their digital tickets scanned by 3 workers. They had no lines to eliminate pushing & chaos. Took about an hour to get thru.
There are no bad seats in this entire stadium. I love the lighting at night. I had only been there during the day for bucs games. I didn't know or expect all of the crazy lighting. The rangers that parachuted in were awesome.
Parking was great. Great job by workers who helped me get a ride from handicap parking and had a gate for handicap. Prices of concessions were ridiculous($11 for a sprite). Club seats a little on the narrow side. Seats had nice cushioning. Game view very good with video panels both ends of field(morons blocking view of field standing up all the time with a paid seat). I believe overall that the Gasparilla Bowl people did a good job other than ripping off on concessions(don't know if they had control of that or not).
Loved the environment! Loved how the lights went gold for UCF and blue for UF. The fans truly engaged in the game- The Macdill jumpers were AMAZING!
Overall, the atmosphere was great. Biggest areas for improvement were the pace of the game & placement of the team bands. Frequent three min tv timeouts starting immediately after the first kickoff killed the game flow. They way the bands were seated in the stand, we could only hear the opposing teams band. Not bad if i’m an not a fan of the teams, but with an in-state rivalry, it would be nice to hear your own team songs.
From the pre-game tailgating, nail-biting football plays and the pumped-up, sold-out crowds - this was a really fun game!! Of course, no matter what the end result - some fans were going to go home upset and disappointed. However, as a UCF Knight, this was one game for the history books! GKCO!!
