The band was good and Gary P. as well. Very entertaining,endearing story telling. For me the songs that brought me back to my younger years. Small venue. In fact, all theaters here in vegas seem small n intimate. Which is wonderful. Not a bad seat in the house.
Gary Puckett still got it. Given his current age, Puckett can still deliver. I wish I am still putting out those vocals when I get to his age. He is simply amazing. Enjoyed those hit songs. band was fantastic as well. I don't know the keyboard player's name but he was on the money. Kudos to the other band menbers as well.
Too many jokes, not enough music. Gary's voice couldn't reach or hold certain notes.
Solid hour and a half performance. No wasted time just some short amusing narrative and all the hits. Well worth it with a special mention toward Veterans.
Gary Puckett still has an incredible voice. His stories are wonderful as well as his timeless songs. It is well worth traveling to see him in concert. He spends time with his fans after the concert and is always willing to take pictures, sing autographs and talk to fans. He is truly a wonderful person as well as performer.
The Golden Nugget is a beautiful upscale facility, obviously recently remodeled. The Gordie Brown showroom is a medium sized room with very comfortable seating. My girlfriend and I were 5 rows from the stage. Gary Puckett is a first class entertainer and sang some of his hits and other songs. He still has a powerful range to his voice. He developed a strong rapport with the crowd and the total effect was very entertaining.
Let's start with this... I would have preferred to tip the great band we saw AFTER the show at the Golden Nugget than waste my $250+ on seeing Gary Puckett. Throughout the show I wanted him to be quite so we could here the great music that was coming out of the band. Their exceptional playing was the only good thing about this show. Gary needs to work on his vibrato (amoung other things) It made my boyfriend cringe. And to make matters worse, Gary invited his (much younger) wife out on stage using baby talk as if talking to a toddler. Being her same age, it made me vomit a little in my mouth. I seriously wish I could get a refund! But since I'm sure I can't, I hope Gary uses this money wisely on vocal lessons. The seats we purchased were directly behind the wheelchair area. Since this was not being utilized as intended the theater decided to fill that area with chairs that were much higher then the theater seats. So the people directly in front of us were a good 4-5" taller than us when sitting. We asked to move. They did accommodate is easily enough, which was nice. Such a polar opposite experience the next night seeing Robert Cray!!!
I had front row seats and it was a fantastic show. Gary can sing all of his hits just like he did originally. He looked fantastic and told some of his stories that were really interesting. He also came out after the show and signed autographs for people. It was really great seeing him again.
For a 73 year old singer just getting over a cold, Gary Puckett sounded great. Back in the day I would have rated him with Johnny Maestro and Jay Black. Still great to hear.
We all enjoyed the show very much. Great entertainment performed everything wanted and then some. Gary Puckett connected with the audience in a friendly and charming way that few entertainers are able to do.
Gary Puckett was very engaging with the audience and sounded as he sounded when he first came on the music scene. All members of Union Gap are top musicians. Not a bad thing to say, Bears Den is a great venue giving you the feeling that it's an "in your own living room" show.
Really terrific performance! He was as good as ever. Great for his age 73!! Very personable. He took the time to speak with everyone after the show.

At 71, Gary's voice is still amazing. The entire show was great -- he's very charismatic and entertaining and the band puts out an incredible amount of music for three people! Great back-up vocals, too, and an A Capella number with all four members near the end is a real treat. We were younger than most in the audience, but still enjoyed it as much as those who heard him top the charts in the 60's. Especially loved his "attribution" at the end.
This was a piece of history to hear the stories about meeting Elvis, Ed Sullivan, Andy Williams (which I never knew, but found it on youtube), Glen Campbell and many more. I remember my mom playing these songs all day long.
Fantastic show. Gary Puckett has not lost a bit of his voice despite being over 70. He transformed us back to the late 1960s. He relates well with the audience and mixed in other tunes in an appropriate number. One of the best performanaces I have ever seen. The Birchmere is a neat place, small, good acoustics, and you are very close to the stage regardless of where you sit. Cant wait for Gary Puckett to return.
So many hits that my mom an I used to sing to in the car with I was young and many that I didn't realize were Gary's ! ! It was Great ! ! His band is top-notch and very personable too. They are all amazing musicians and people ! The intimate Pacific Showroom at The Skagit is so great to see a show. No more then 500 people, so, it makes it feel like a private party. Great place !
Great venue and a great show. You can not "fake" enjoying yourself and Gary Puckett and his band truly enjoy themselves. They performed for almost 2 hours without a break. We enjoyed every minute of the show.
THE BEST SHOW I SAW IN ALONG TIME....STILL HAS HIS VOICE.. PLUS I GOT TO MEET HIM AND GET HIS AUTOGRAPH AFTER THE SHOW
Gary Puckett and the Band were great. i wish they would sing more of their old songs instead of other old hits.
