Gary Hoey Tickets

We saw him play last year and he rocked then. This year he was even better. The only difference was his hair. The punk orange is gone for a more conservative look. No difference in his music. He has a new bass player who can really play. The drummer is outstanding and Gary well he is fantastic. The music was great that they played and Gary entertained the audience with his story telling. All in all I would highly recommend anyone to go and see them play. We hope to see you play again next year.

I have seen Gary on numerous occasions, practically every year since 2004, he's done nothing but get better, of course he was fabulous the first time I saw him. I have met and talked to Gary at several of his shows and have even had the occasion to share a cold beverage with him and the band after the show several times as well. Gary loves to please the crowds and is quite the showman, so are his band mates Erik and Matt. Erik the bass player is ham for the camera and Matt has his own showy stuff. Gary is one of the most underrated guitarists I know of. If you're looking for someone who knows their way around a strat or two and who's technical excellence on the fretboard is second to none, you need to see Gary. He should be playing to much larger crowds and hopefully someday he will get that recognition. He certainly puts on one heck of a show, I highly recommend seeing him and my friends that have seen him agree, he's a class act. Give him a try, you won't be sorry.

Gary was great at the City Theater in Detroit. He kicked of his holiday tour in ROCKING style as always. GREAT SHOW. Enjoy every year.

This venue was great - I would recommend seeing anyone there! Gary Hoey is a very friendly man and seemed to truly enjoy pleasing the crowd. This was the first time I saw him and I would pay to see his show again.

The Gary Hoey Ho Ho Hoey show 2011 at the City Theatre in Detroit was nothing short of fantastic. The music was amazing and the venue was perfect with not a bad seat in the house. We were so glad that we went to this show and will go again next year.

Gary was great. a little long actually, but mixed up his regular stuff and Christmas stuff well.

One of the best concerts I have been to in a long time. Gary and his band really know how to entertain. The twist they put on some local favorite Christmas songs was a real treat. On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 15. They were great and in my opinion everyone watching really got into the music and enjoyed the show. Keep up the good work Gary.

Amazing as always and encourages young artist to continue to dream so hats off to you Gary and band you guys rock pure TALENT!!!

Gary Hoey puts on an awesome show. If you ever get the chance to see him, do not pass it up. Excellent performer and an amazing guitar player.

Great Family SHow Loved Lunatic Fringe Gary has alot of energy and puts on a great show even at small venues

I have seen their show several times. Each time is a wonderful time! It is really cool that the members take the time to talk with the fans after each show! The guys are down to earth and very entertaining! We didn't care for the venue though. It was all seating and noplace to dance. We really like being able to dance with the music.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through Motown Every creature was rockin as Gary got down. His ax, round his neck, was slung with care As riff laden carols expanded in air

This was our first live show to see Hoey. I was not expecting much but it turned out to be one of the best live shows I've been to. Will make this an annual show to see!

Wow this guy is talented and engaging. Gary Hoey and his band out did themselves. The theater was rocking to his music and on their feet applauding. I took three other people with me and everybody really enjoyed themselves. Also, City Theater in Detroit's Foxtown is outstanding stage. I want to see more concerts there. There isnt a bad seat in the very intimate house and the folks working there are great too. Also, Detroit's own Muggs opened. And they were great.

Gary and his band are awesome performers and very engaging with their audience. I made the decision to bring my wife and family for a Christmas outing. After buying the tickets I second-guessed if the show would be approporiate for families. Other than being very loud (which was expected), the show was very family friendly. Gary & Co. played Christmas jams, plus covers and original material, just a great mix of music (Rock, Blues and Christmas). His stage banter is very fun and positive, lots of eye contact and close-up solos. My wife bought one CD on the spot and asked for their latest CD (Utopia) for Christmas! I never went into it thinking I'd turn her into a Hoey fan. The kids were captivated with the stage performance and the excitement of being at a live rock performance. Gary graciously signed autographs after the show. He knows what to give his fans and how to market himself, great performer and a great guy.

Gary is one of the best guitarist out there!!!! Great show!! It was LOUD, FUN, and a GREAT show.

A must see! Opened his tour here in Detroit and needless to say he was amazing! Gary played about 6 tones off his new album (Which was great!) and a lot of his old classics.. i.e. The Grinch... Linus.. and Hocus Pocus. Thank you Gary for giving such a great performance!

Gary and his band really rock, chrismas songs too, if you can believe that. He also played some songs from his new album, I liked most of them. Great venue, Detroit's hidden gem in my opinion.
