"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

Gary Allan did not disappoint! He always puts on a great show, and judging by the packed venue, it looked like nearly everyone in town bought a ticket! That said, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — the venue really needs to match that kind of turnout with more food trucks and beverage tents. Waiting over an hour for a hamburger is wild. Hopefully, they'll plan better next time to match the demand!
The venue was great and Gary is amazing as always.
Gary Allen is legit! He is an amazing singer and puts on a great show! This was the 3rd time seeing him live and I will patiently wait for #4!
He absolutely brings it to every show! I’ve seen a ton of his concerts and am never disappointed. He sounded great, the band was perfect, the sound and atmosphere was magical. Thank you for such a special night, yet again! Can’t wait to see you next time!❤️❤️ Colorado loves Gary Allan!❤️
Gary Allen was great. The set up time between shows seemed long. The opening act was a single singer with his guitar. The stage should have been set for Gary prior to 7:30. Instead we all waited for more than 20 - 25 minutes for the show to start back up. Also, the lights would have been great in a large venue or outside. There were a lot of lights for a small venue. They were constantly blinding. Last, I learned that I need to set up in the balcony area. People standing in front of others was not pleasant. I realize it was a concert, but, next time I’ll sit in the less expensive seats and enjoy the concert more
Horrible performance, the sound system was way off, couldn't understand the words performers were saying. Went to hear him perform the songs that got him where he is, and he mostly sang new songs, that really aren't country. Disappointed all the way around!
Gary Allan puts on a great show--performing all of his well-known hits! He interacts with the audience and was kind enough to sign a few autographs at the end of the show. I would definitely go see him again. We had really good seats at the venue (Columbia County Performing Arts), but the acoustics were awful. This was not a Gary Allan issue, but it sure made the experience less enjoyable. The opening act had such poor sound quality (venue issue) it was difficult to understand what he was saying or singing!
Overall, well worth the money, especially from the 4th row! Even the opener, Russell, was pretty decent for a one-man band and might try to catch him again in Nashville sometime. This was my first time seeing Gary but I’ve always liked his songs, wish I knew more of them. He does a great job, very energetic, tossed lots of guitar pics out. His band seemed dedicated. Some good laser effects. Some of the audience was hyped, but two dudes in front of me talked the whole time, like why? Glad I got to see him in an intimate venue and maybe he’ll release some new material that makes it to radio, he’s very under-rated.
Acoustics were bad for the lead singer, but still a great show.
The building looked so Smokey. Very cold too. An opening act wasted an hour of my time. Had no idea there was going to be an opening singer. Then Gary came out. I couldn’t understand a word of first 2 songs. The he sang his old songs, but still hard to hear the words. We left early. Disappointed
Gary Allan pulled out all the stops! Amazing performance! I loved every minute!
Country Music at its finest! Gary Allan is a true artist that is often overlooked and under-rated. His lyrics are unparalleled and he delivers with such raw emotion and grit giving his music an extra dimension. We've been fans for years and have seen him 3 times. We are always amazed at the depth of his catalog. We hope to see him again. Jeans and a KISS T-shirt performing great country music with a Southern Rock vibe. We enjoyed this show immensely! The only thing better than Gary Allan is Gary Allan at the Colombia Performing Arts Center. What an amazing venue!
This was my 4th time seeing Gary. I usually get floor seats but I thought it would be nice to see the show from higher up and see the whole stage. But it was not great. We at in the first row of the balcony and the spotlights were shining in our eyes most of the whole concert. Also the music was so loud we couldn’t hear or understand Gary singing. I don’t know if it was the acoustics or just the sound man. It was a disappointing evening for sure but we tried to make the best of it.
Band was too loud. Couldn’t hear Gary Allen. Guitars way too loud. Drums way too loud. Came to hear Gary sing the luster to band.
Great music, awesome venue, every seat in the house was good. All the staff were awesome and the music was geat. Always a good time when Gary is in the house....
Band way to loud for small auditorium. You couldn't even here the words of the song. I will never go to a concert at Columbia arts again
Yet again a great show and doesn't disappoint, plus it's awesome watching all the different guitars he plays throughout the show.
Show was absolutely amazing Gary Allan sounded great Venue was nice and clean Didn’t take long for drinks Seats were the best So close to stage
Gary Allan always brings it when he preforms! Sooo many great songs to jam out to.
