About

"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

  • disappointing

I love Gary but this concert was way too loud on the acoustic you could barely hear him sing. I was only 6 rows back from the stage. This venue needs to watch the sound of the acoustics. I have been to numerous concerts at this venue for years. Just very disappointing.

  • Not my best concert experience

by Cat on 9/16/25The Edge Pavilion - LaughlinRating: 1 out of 5

Bailey Zimmerman cancelled and we thought we would make the most out of our Laughlin trip. Stood in line for over 30 minutes for a drink. Venue was hot and sound was horrible. The tickets were more than double what the Bailey Zimmerman tickets were and we didn't even get to enjoy live music. Also, unless you are seated at the front, the only thing you are watching are people in the tent.

  • Pay attention to the times

Show was on the edge of Nevada and Arizona (but on the Nevada side). Tickets showed that the event started at 8. I guess technically it did - if you’re going by Arizona time. Nevada time is an hour later than Arizona- so we missed almost half the show!

  • Great concert!

Gary Allen is a true musician! He played 5 different guitars and never stopped singing! He is energetic and really interacts with the audience. His songs are truly heartfelt and convey a lot of emotion. I went with my daughter and GRANDdaughter (3 generations) and we all enjoyed it! I will go again in a heartbeat!

  • low key, intimate show

Super small venue made for a cool concert!!!! No over the top light show and smoke stuff. Very low key and intimate. Gary Allan performed all the great hits and sounded amazing!!!

  • Gary Allen shows are the best

by luvbunny on 8/24/25Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

his show was amazing but I couldn't see much. Our seats were 2 rows behind the sound mixers and the technicians and the opening artist stood almost the entire time. So distracting and annoying.... I love the Uptown and thought there were no bad seats......now I know :(

  • Awesome concert

Gary Allen was fantastic. The place was packed. I hope he comes back again soon.

  • Not A Country Music Concert

by Wanda on 8/24/25Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 1 out of 5

The Uptown Venue was fantastic with easy entry and organized processes. The music was too loud and overpowered the vocals. The music did not resemble the artist's radio sound. There was so much rock-n-roll influence that I barely recognized any of the songs. Very disappointing.

  • Gary delivered an excellent performance!

The venue was small and made for an intimate experience with Gary singing his hits. Great performance!

Venue was pretty easy to navigate, Easily found our seats. Smaller venue but the concert seemed more concentrated on the crowd. I had a good time. Gary delivered another good show

Gary was great!! Hadn't followed him too closely, but I knew every song. And he and his band rocked out. Pleasantly surprised with his great performance. Great kickoff for the new venue!!

  • Phenomenal show and venue

From the moment we bought our tshirts and souvenirs (and Gary Allan autographed guitar)😎 before the show, until we left hours later, we had a blast. Everyone at the Pantheon 🏛️ venue at Caesars Danville Virginia was extremely professional and friendly and made our experience easy going and fun 😊 Then Gary Allan took everyone’s breath away with every song🎶💯🎶 One of the best shows we have ever been to and we plan on seeing him again in NC later this year!!!💯😊💯So overall the Pantheons inaugural event,Gary Allan 🎶 was beyond words amazing and we will be seeing both again in the future. Through TicketMaster 💯🎶💕💯 Thanks TicketMaster for making it happen and how easy it is to use your services 💯🤙💯 Grade “A+” all the way around 💯💪💯

  • Still amazing Gary Allen

by Mel on 6/10/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 5 out of 5

First concert in the brand new Pantheon in Caesar’s Virginia. Gary Allen did not disappoint! He sounds as good now as he did 25 years ago. Looking forward to seeing him again soon.

  • Gary was great, venue seating needs work

by Amanda on 6/9/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Gary Allan put on a wonderfully energetic performance, although it was shorter than I would have liked. He still sounds just as good as the first time I saw him live back in 2001! This was the inaugural show for the venue, The Pantheon at Danville’s Caesars Casino, which itself was lovely. The facilities were very nice, but the seating arrangement leaves you with a terrible view if anyone your height or taller is seated in front of you. There is no incline in the seating; rather, it seemed to be a slight decline which caused line of sight issues for us and many around us. They need to have stadium seating or something similar. The gentleman in front of me was wearing a large cowboy hat that obstructed my view. When he took it off, however, just his height alone obstructed my view as well. My friend and I stood up for most of the concert so we could see. The people behind us complained and asked us to sit down, but as I told them, I couldn’t see because of the people in front of me so standing was the only solution for all of us. Otherwise, this was a wonderful show. Hopefully they’ll get the seating figured out for future performances.
