"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

Gary Allan brought the Amphitheatre to it's feet. You had to stand to see him. He always has a great show. You can feel his appreciation of his fans. The Event was definitely in party mode.
Showcase Live is a small intimate venue. It felt more like being at a party with a REALLY REALLY REALLY great band, than just being at a concert. Gary Allan always puts on a great show no matter the size of the venue! I would definetly go see him again at Showcase Live. And for anyone who didn't make it to the show, if he comes again you don't want to miss it!
Gary Allan was definitely in his "element" playing this small venue. Have seen him at larger shows where he has shared the stage and this was definitely much better. His voice is so unique and awesome. He had everyone singing to his greatest hits (as well as his some lesser known music). Everyone at the show was there to see Gary. It says something for an artist to hold an entire audience's attention for the entire show. Can't wait to see him again.
The concert and the venue were outstanding. Its rare to see such a great talent in a very intimate setting such as Showcase Live! We were 10 feet from the stage! I highly recommend Showcase Live! As for Gary Allan, he was awesome! He played over 20 songs which ran about 100 minutes. He is, by far, the most underrated entertainer that Country Music has to offer. He sings with raw emotion that only comes from real life experience and makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. He doesn't apologize for songs about whiskey, rain, heartache and heartbreak because they may not be politically correct. This is the way to see Gary Allan, by himself, not as an opening act. Real music about real life by a real man! No opening act. It was all Gary Allan and the band drinkin' dark whiskey!
I think Gary was amazed on how many people actually packed into the place and got a lot of energy from that, he performed all of his big hits perfectly, interacted with the crowd when needed, otherwise he just kicked ass! The band is also quite talented and put on a good show for the audience. I cant wait until he comes in the area again. I will definitely be going to see him again as he is probably my favorite. I highly recommend seeing him, just leave enough tickets for me to get in too!! :)
This is a great venue to see any concert and to be able to see Gary Allan in a venue that gives an intimate/close up feel was just amazing! I have never been disappointed in any performance I've seen Gary do and will continue to make any of his shows possible!
He's a great performer, interacted with the crowd, and just sounded great all around. Fun time!
The venue was very good. The atmosphere was better and Gary Allan was unbelievable. He played his greatest hits almost in order. I brought my wife for her birthday. She is a huge Gary Allan fan and she was not disappointed. It was a great evening. I purchased one of the VIP booths.
This is our third time seeing Gary and he sounded better than ever. He covers so many of his songs, it's a wonder he can come up for air to breathe. He is so warm, personable and very moving. What we love about Gary is he is so appreciative of his fans. He acknowledged us throughout the night. You feel the story behind each of his songs. The hurt, heartache and strength to move on. Gary is hands down the best country has to offer!
First off the new Showcase Live facility in Foxboro, MA (at Patriot Place) is a phenominal place to see a show. Awesom acoustics and the way it's laid out you are never more than 40' from the stage! Gary's show, as they always are, was top-shelf. A good blend of old and new, the only thing missing out of the setlist for me was Smoke Rings in the Dark. I would have enjoyed hearing that live. Great to hear he's got new material coming out soon too.
Had a wonderful time. Great music, food and cocktails too.
I am a HUGE Gary Allan fan and the concert location inspired an unforgettable road trip to Seattle Washington. The venue was amazing, small and fun. His music is very personal and full of inspiration and fun.........GARY ALLAN ROCKS!!!
Played all his hits and newest song he has released. I completely fell apart when he sang "Best I ever had" very touching. I would definitely see him again! Also loved the Tulalip Amphitheatre!
Gary Allan has a lot of good songs and sounded good. He wasn't the best entertainer we've ever seen, but he did sound good. The opening act, Nathan Chance was not very good. The Tulalip Amphitheatre was a nice place to go on a warm summer night, however we brought our 9 & 11 year old kids and they couldn't see a thing when Gary Allan started because the crowd stood up for the entire show! While all ages are allowed it really wasn't the best venue for bringing the kids. I think we will stick to the fairgrounds or the Comcast Arena for bringing them, where they can get seats up off the floor.
Gary has a rough yet sensual side to his music. It comes from the heart. It's real!
Awesome energy, awesome show. Gary played everything I wanted to hear and he and his band seemed totally into it. Extra bonus for me and my friend: the crowd was almost as entertaining as the band.
Outdoor amphitheater was beautiful. Weather was great. Gary was personable and a great performer. Wow--what a terrific evening.
Gary Allan has fast become my favorite artist! I saw him last year and loved it, but this year was ten times better! The venue was great, all outside and very intimate. The atmosphere of the concert was great, the band rocks out, but it's total country!
this was a great show and the casino put on an awesome show i would see gary or any one i like there again it was worth the 88 mile drive to see it
