It rained for a couple hours making things miserable and the show did not get started on time - my seats were horrible - couldn't see (pole in the way). Gary Allen did great - love his songs - just wish I could have seen him and took some pictures! Chuck Wicks did not put on a very long show - disappointed in that.
The concert was awesome! Chuck Wicks opened and was much better than I expected. Nothing can compare to Gary Allan though! He and his band were playing with all borrowed and new instruments (their's were all destroyed the weekend before during a storm) and they still sounded great! He is an amazing artist.....I will be going to see him again!
The concert was good but Chuck did not play for long. The Jumbo TV screen on our side (Section F G) did not work right away and the speakers came on 1/2 way through the concert. Post in front of us made it difficult to see the performers on stage. it would have been nice if the singers would have posed for pictures
Chuck Wicks and Gary Allan were both AMAZING!!! Both of these guys are very talented and totally sexy!! The concert was amazing!!
It was the best! Would recommend it to anyone that enjoys country music.
Gary Allan has been a long time favorite of mine as well as my husband. We saw him for the first time in 2000 in Lincoln Nebraska - it was a great show. I have seen him three more times and he never lets me down. This concert was special as my husband passed away in December 08 and many of his newer songs I can really relate to. Life ain't always beautiful is such an awesome song, it brought tears to my eyes when it was performed. It was one of the songs my husband picked to play at his funeral and it is so very true. Thanks for a great concert !!!!
The music was a 10 but the sound was quite off. The Grandstands might have contributed to this. Gary Allan kicked ass though!
this was the first time my wife and i have seen gary allen in concert. we still to this day are speechless. he put on incredible show and u can really tell he was enjoying being at the iowa state fair. i have been a fan of his for so long that i listen to his cd over and over again. he performs so well and jokes with the crowd and makes them laugh and allso makes the addience rock out when he sings. all out he puts on the best concert i have ever seen
This concert was great! Chuck Wicks was good but has a ways to go. I like his songs. Gary Allen was awesome. I have seen him 3 times and he gets better all the time. He is a very down to earth performer.
Gary Allan is a good time mix of country ballads and whiskey drinking country rock. Tons of energy and good, honest fun! Quite possibly one of the best concerts seen and we've seen a lot. Highly recommend catching Gary Allan's show, anytime, anywhere! One of the few artists who doesn't play all the new songs off a new album that a handful of people may know. Played songs from all albums and ALL his hits! Fabulous setlist!
Gary Allan put on an excellent show! By far one of the best country concerts I've seen.
Chuck Wicks is ok, he had a few songs. Gary is very good, this was the 3rd time I have seen him and he is good every time. His music seemed very loud last night, sometimes it was hard to hear the singing, but he said it was all new equippment, so maybe there were a few kinks. But it was worth the 4 hour drive to Iowa to see him.
he put on one hell of a show. chuck wicks was good to.
Overall show was great. I didn't here a couple favorites like Her Man and Man to Man, but was reminded of some of his classics
This show was absolutey phenomenal. Chuck Wicks was even better live than on his CD, and nothing could ever compare to Gary Allan's performance. I'm so glad I got to see this legend live.
I think that this was a very good concert. I had very good seats and Gary put on a very good concert. Chuck Wicks also did a very good job of opening up.
Gary allen was Great! He sounds just as good in person as on his CD! Cant wait for his new CD to come out!
Performers were wonderful. You couldn't understand a word that Chuck Wicks was signing, not a single word. When Gary Allan came on it got a little better. It sounded to me as if there was too much bass. I am a Gary Allan fan but the sound didn't do him justice. I was disappointed because he has a wonderful voice.
Gary came onto the stage with great gusto. He entertained us with his songs and humor. I love Gary and his music and I will forever be a fan. Sadly, the night ended too soon for all of us. I would highly recommend seeing Gary Allan.
The show was great! This was the first time I have seen him perform.....definitely will do so again! I really liked his entrance!
