"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

Gary Allan is a true professional with a performance filled with edge and grit. he has a toneof great songs and gives the fans what they want!
music to loud couldn't hear him sing ! Just bad he must have to have he voice enhanced to sound better. never see him again.
This was by far the best concert that I've seen in a long time! I would reccomend seein Gary Allan to anyone!!! The concert was electrifying, intense, pasionate and about a million other things that I won't bore you with. Bottom line, get tickets if he's playing near you!
Chuck Wicks did a nice job but, poor acoustics. Gary Allan has one of the best voices around but, it was waaaaaaaay too loud!!! The acoustic set was the best. His voice is so superb he doesn't need to cover it up with it being so loud, like some rockers that really can't sing outside of the studio and still sound good. Wish he would have did Nickajack Cave but, he has so many great songs he could have sang for hours and not had a chance to do all of them!!
One of the best shows from Gary that I've seen and this was the 8th time I've seen him. Never seen him that animated before. Liked it! First time he's sang "The One" in a very long time. Was glad to hear it back in the setlist. Can't wait until the next time he's around.
I actually bought the tickets for my daughter and my ex-husband to go for my ex's b-day! Talked to them and they said the concert was outstanding!! This was my daughter's second time to see Gary Allan and she just loves him!! He really puts on a memorable concert.
Started off with Chuck Wicks who was very good and then Gary Allan came out and rocked. I had an extremely good time and could see everything and hear everything clearly!
Loved, loved, loved this concert! Gary actually sounded better in person than on his cd! The band was fabulous...all the guitar action was rockin'! I'm definitely going to another Gary Allan concert....as soon as possible!
We saw Kenny Chesney in May in Kansas City, Gary Allan put on a far better show with out all the flash. Storms had just passed thru and with a stripped down show. Strong vocals and great crowd enjoyment! Lately the country artists cant compare to other true entertainers. Dont see how Kenny wins entertainer of the year all the time, probably Politics. We saw Nikleback this year also and I hate to say it but Gary Allan & them are the best concerts I have seen I a very long time. Saw Taylor Swift & Keith Urban last week, she is good but very theatrical. Seeing the breaking up Brooks & Dunn next weekend, hope they havent already called it quits with the entertainment factor.
Chuck Wicks did a great job opening for Gary Allan! He worked the stage well. Gary Allan is simply amazing to watch perform...he did an awesome job covering the stage areas! They both sounded great!
Gary Allan gives a great concert, great energy, and a great entertainer. Can't wait to see him again.
This is the second time I have seen Gary Allan. Each time gets better. This was an awesome show except he didn't play a couple of songs that were hits. The only thing bad about the show was it rained before the show. We were at the state fair and on the track in mud. Other than that......I would do it again. Love ya Gary!!!!
This was a great show!!! I took my son and one of his friends. The friend had only heard "Airplanes" and was blown away by the concert! They were yelling and my son was singing along. I love Gary Allan and his sets are always different each time. What an artist!
Gary never fails to wow the audience or put on a great show! It's just a shame that people at the show cannot hold their alcohol and spill it on everyone around them and become loud and obnoxious.
Our youngest son, his girlfriend, my husband, & I liked Chuck Wicks & loved Gary Allan. We had good seats & appreciated the fans around us who realized that we all paid for our SEATS & let us enjoy the concert from ours.
Gary put on one of his best concerts. He was up beat and full of energy.
Gary throws an awesome show. Great performer. The sound out of his band is awesome!
One of the best concerts I've ever seen... My whole family loved it. My husband, 10 year old daugher and 8 year old boy. Start to finish singing and dancing in my row!!!
His sultry voice known to country music and the rock star concert performance made that night unforgettable and more than worth the wait.
